I was researching about the murder case that happened on the cliff a few days ago when the door of my cabin opened and a man wearing a light green t-shirt with dark blue jeans entered.
"What brings you here?"
"Na hi na hello, what kind of bestfriend you are!"
"Speak up Karan, don't tell me you came here only because you need any help from me."
"Arey nahi bhai."
"So you in Edinburgh? From London?" I say as I finally look at him instead of my laptop as I lean on my chair.
"It's Valentine's Day stupid."
"Eeeww, I am not your Valentine."
Karan holds his heads and says,
"Lag gaya pata tu single kyu hai abhi tak."
I ignore him.
"Bro I am here for Vani, I wanted to take her to a trip."
"That is nice of you. Oh and how is my little baby Navneet?" I asked.
"Yes that is the main thing. Navneet misses you a lot!! Every single minute she is like 'Shubh chachu Shubh chachu'."
I laugh.
"I am Navneet's favourite I know it. She is my little cutie."
"Yeah, so do visit us someday."
"Sure, for how many days you and Vani bhabi are here?"
"Vani's hospital shift would start from 10th March, so till 1st march we would be enjoying our Edinburgh trip."
"Nice nice!"
"Btw" he comes infront of me and peeps in my laptop and finds some triggering images related to that case.
"Aghh you are always busy in studying these crimes, I wonder when my bhabi will come and do the crime of stealing your heart."
Abhi isko kya bataun.
Dil churaane ka jurm nahi kiya unhone,
Apni hari ankhon se jaan lene ka jurm kiya hai.
Aur ye ek aisa jurm hai jiski saza se main khud criminal lawyer hoke bhi unko nahi bacha skta.
"Oh teri di!" He speaks out of nowhere and makes me come back from my thoughts.
"Bhabi toh aa chuki hai na, vo us din jo toone-"
And I instantly stand up and hold his mouth to prevent him from speaking.
I glare at him in his hazel eyes.
"Sochna bhi mat" I say in a low tone and remove my hand.
"Oh chill pill bro. Itna possessive kaun hota hai."
"See who is talking about possessiveness. You legit had put fake accusations on the doctor who said that Vani bhabi looks "very cute" when she was pregnant with baby Navneet anonymously and that lead to his termination of doctorate degree!"
Karan puts his hand through his hair and behaves as if he didn't hear anything.
"Ahmm uhhh Vani and Navneet would be waiting for me, I am going."
