Then one day he is sitting to his favorite spot in the park, thinking all the things that he’d been through. How is Summer doing today? Does she now found her happiness?
“Psst…psst….Tom! Hey! Tom!”someone called him, he look back and stunned for what he saw.
There it is the girl who left him with his heart, now standing in front of him. She’s still the same but more beautiful…
“Hey Summer!”he called.
“I came by here every day hoping I can catch on you one of these days. I didn’t expect this”
“Well this is my favorite spot”
“Of course.”she looked at him. “Wow! You look sharp on that suit”
He smiled to her.
“Well you too…Im mean youre still beautiful”
“How are you Tom?”
“Im okay. Actually great, I quit the job”he said, referring to his job in a greeting card company.
“Really? That’s good”
“You?”he asked still shocked that Summer is now talking to him. “Youre married!” he said unbelievably but can feel sadness in his voice.
“Yeah I know right? Just happened so fast”she said with a smile on her lips.
“I know. But why? How? I thought you don’t want to be any ones girlfriend but now your someone’s wife”
“I know. I know. Do you remembered what you’ve said to me? About fate? Destiny? Love?”
“Oh…no…no…”unbelievable he disagreed to Summer.
“Yes. Youre right Tom…all along”
“No Summer. Youre the one who told me that theres no such thing as love”
“Its because I never felt love then, and ive been thinking that ive been alone so long that Im starving for love, Tom. And you gave me that, but just like you said fate got another plans for me” she explained.
He still couldn’t believe on what shes saying.
“Fate? Fate did this to you?!”
“Uh-huh…One day im having a lunch in a restaurant reading a book when someone asked me about it. And now his my husband. What if ive gone out in a different restaurant or I came 10 min later, can I still meet him?”
“So why didn’t you tell me? In the dance?”
“Because I don’t want to see the man who taught me how to love be hurt, and I want to know if your okay.”
“Thanks…”
“Well Tom nice seeing you again, ive better go…”she said after a few min of silence.
“Summer…”he called out “I hope youll be happy with your life” he said with sincerity.
“You too…” and she smiles then left.
There it is the woman he loved walking away from him. Will you love someone you just have to learn how to let go. Letting her go is hard but heart melting cause he know that she’s happy. Now the empty space in his heart is waiting to be filled up with the new emotions and passion.
