Autumn Starts

“Hi! Youre an interviewee?” asked by the beautiful lady sitting in front of him.

“Sorry?” he just missed what she asked

“Are you going to be interviewed for the position?”

“Yeah”             

                   

“You must be my competitor” she said grinning.

“Interviewee too?”

She nods.

“Well…uhmm…I hope you wont get the job”he said to her matter-of-factly.

She laughed.

“I hope you wont get the job either”

They laughed then silence took over.

“Have we met?” she asked.

“I don’t think so”

“No! Ive seen you somewhere. At the Angelus plaza, have you been there?” she asked excitedly.

“Yeah I like that place”

“Me too. My favorite is the park, except for the parking lot”

“I know right. Why I haven’t seen you around?”

“Maybe youre not very observant” she said smiling.

“Mr. Hansen” called by a woman who is in charge for the interview.

“Yes?” he asked, standing.

“Youre next” he followed the woman.

As he walked into the hallway going to the room, all the things that Summer said to him came flashing back in his head. Then it struck him. There really is fate.

He stopped.

“Uhm…excuse me can you wait? Ill catch up on you… I left something in the waiting area.”

He hurriedly go back to the waiting area where the lady is still waiting for her turn to be interviewed.

“Hey!” he called to the girl.

“You again”

“Uhmmm…. Can we… grab a coffee after this…? You know”

“Oh…im sorry but I have things to work on after this”She said.

“Its ok!” disappointedly he walked away.

“Wait!” the girl recalled. “Maybe I can adjust my time for a nice coffee”

“Really?!” he asked, his face lit up. “After this we….”

“We just have to figure this out later”

“Yeah! By the way im Tom” he introduced himself.

“Im Autumn”
