Emily's POV.

In April in Helsinki, the ice and snow finally melt.

I push the stroller out for a walk, and on the way back, I see a Border Collie slipping through the iron gate's gap and running wildly on the road.

The Border Collie sees me, quickens its pace, screeches to a halt next to me, and then hides behind the stroller.

Before I can react, my landlord Mummo walks out of the house with a broom.

"You're back," she nods at me quickly before I can greet her, goes around the stroller, bends down, and grabs one of Missy's front paws. Missy looks at me, pleading for help with her eyes, and even sniffs like she's crying.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Ask this greedy guy!" Mummo grabs Missy's other front paw. Missy is now walking on her hind legs, forced to follow her owner back to the house.

"I had just finished cooking salmon in the kitchen and went to the bathroom to wash my hands. She climbed onto the stool and ate all the fish!"

I can't help but laugh. No wonder people say Border Collies are different; they are too smart.

Missy turns her head and gives me another pitiful look.

I glance at my watch, "I stewed pork before I went out; it should be ready now. Mummo, why don't you come upstairs and eat with me?"

Three months ago, Cayden gave me a house, but I've never been there.

The suburbs are quiet and perfect for Natalie to play. Plus, I can't bear to leave Mummo. She is the best landlord in the world; after spending Christmas at her daughter's house, she brought gifts for me and Natalie when she returned.

When I return home, the house is already filled with the aroma of cooked meat. I go to the kitchen while Mummo holds Natalie and walks around the house.

"Emily?" Mummo's voice suddenly comes from the living room. She seems to be asking me something, but I can't hear clearly from a distance.

"What's wrong?" I walk out of the kitchen with the food and place it on the dining table.

"Are you going to London?" Mummo is surprised; she sees the printed flight tickets on my work table.

"Yes," I nod, "a film company in London is interested in my script. Their boss wants to meet me in person. I have to go for two days next week."

We had an online meeting before, and if everything goes well this time, we will sign the contract on the spot.

"What about Natalie?" Mummo frowns. "Why didn't you tell me?"

I know what she means. Whenever I need to go out alone, I always leave Natalie with Mummo.

I look at the white-haired old lady in front of me, "Actually, I have been looking for a babysitter; two days is a bit long, and you're getting older and need more rest..."

"Yes, yes, I'm old." Mummo rolls her eyes, "I just don't understand, why does everyone say I'm old?"

"When I was at my daughter's house, she wouldn't let me do anything. What? Am I made of glass? I finally came back, and you won't let me do anything either. Do I look like a useless person?"

I can't help but smile, "That's not what I mean."

"Let Natalie decide herself." Mummo stands up, picks up Natalie from the crib, and asks, "Sweetheart, do you want to stay with Mummo?"

Natalie blinks and then smiles widely.

A week later, I fly to London.

The sunshine in London is just right, and the cherry blossoms along the road, filling the air with fragrance.
