I limped in the door. Joe had an arm around my waist to keep me steady.

"Oh my goodness!" Zoe squealed. She ran over, jumping up and down. "You're alive!"

"Why wouldn't I be alive?" I questioned.

She laughed and hugged me. "I made breakfast!"

The house smelled amazing. She led us to the table which was piled high with pancakes and French toast.

"Dang, you really outdid yourself, Zo." Joe grinned and pulled my chair out. I smiled and sat down. He sat down next to me.  We all dug in. It was delicious. Joe left the table earlier than everyone else. He didn't look particularly happy. I quickly finished my pancake and stumbled upstairs.  I hobbled into our room to see Joe packing.

"You're leaving already?" I sat on the edge of the bed. He only nodded.

I hopped to the closet and changed into a wavy white croptop and a red flannel. I put on some black leggings(which was very hard with my stupid foot) and went to the bathroom. I got out my makeup and did my usual routine. I grabbed my mascara and eyeliner when Joe walked in. He hugged me from behind.

"Why do you put on all that makeup?" He asked.

"To look pretty and confident," I replied, adding eyeliner.

"You're beautiful without makeup..." He whispered in my ear.

That made me smile. Everything he said made me smile.

"I want to take you on a date before I go back to mine and Casper's place." He kissed the top of my head.

I grinned. "That'd be lovely!"

"I'll go get ready." He walked out of our bathroom.
