Joe
"Where will I be sleeping?" I wiggled my eyebrows at Summer.
Summer laughed and punched my arm playfully. "Weirdo. It's too late to blow up that air mattress so you'll sleep in my bed."
"Ooh.." I raised my eyebrows, grinning.
She rolled her eyes. "Just go brush your teeth."
I did as she said and jumped into the bed.
"Close your eyes." She had some clothes hanging from her arm.
"What?"
"Close 'em." She said.
I rolled my eyes and closed them. A second later I opened them back up. She was turned around. While she was hopping into some grey leggings, she turned sideways. I just realized her ribs were showing a little. She was really thin, like, unhealthy thin. She put on a grey croptop with a dreamcatcher on it that revealed most of her stomach.
She turned around and faked a gasp. "You opened your eyes!"
I laughed as she climbed in.
"So, I wa- Joe!" She started when I bopped her forehead.
"You said so." I smiled.
She rolled her eyes. "Annnnyyyywaaaayyyyy..... I was thinking... maybe we could get a flat together..?" She looked up at me, eyes full of hope.
I paused or a second, thinking. "Sure."
Her face fell. "No, I'm sorry.. It was a dumb idea.."
"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You paused..." She laid on her back and sighed.
I grabbed her arm and pulled her to face me. "I was thinking, darling. Ask me again."
She rolled her eyes. "Do yo-"
"Yes! Did I pause? I could've answered a little sooner.." I kissed her nose.
She grinned. "I just wanted to get out of Zalfie's hair and I thought.... it'd maybe bring us closer."
"Anything for you, Fox"
"Fox?" She giggled.
"Yea, because foxes are small and cute and tiny and adorable and feisty, just like you." I kissed her neck.
She smiled at the new nickname and soon fell asleep in my arms.
