First person narration 

CR-CRACK!! SHATTER!! 

Bluetail shattered the discs that were thrown at us by Lennon. 

I heaved a sigh of relief as soon as my feet touched the ground again, but I couldn't help but stare at Bluetail fighting so well, even when I was just standing there, doing nothing at all. 

SLASH!! SLING!!

I didn't want to admit it, but if you looked at Bluetail wielding his sword, you couldn't help but feel mesmerised. 

He didn't look like the person that was annoying me at the rooftops just two minutes back. He was focused- he wanted nothing more than to help us get to safety.

Get a hold of yourself, Talia. 

I moved away from Bluetail and saw Blyke, sitting on the road staring at Bluetail, impressed. The mesmerisation was evident in his features. 

I extended my hand to Blyke. I was sure the less I talked, the more safe I was. After all, I went to the same school as Blyke. 

Blyke muttered a low "Thanks.." as he pulled himself up with my help. Although, before he was up straight, a green beam pierced through the air and hit his leg, making him tumble backwards. 

"What in the world-!!" I turned to the source of the hit man. It was probably one of the terraces. 

I felt another beam coming before I saw it, due to my activated ability, and I moved out of way just in time.

"Oof!" I sighed. 

Meanwhile Bluetail slashed another disc that was coming my way. Blyke held his ground and tried to get up on his own. I toughened up. I brought myself to stand beside Bluetail in a defensive pose. 

If they wanted to hurt Blyke, they had to pass through me first. 

I couldn't throw my tiny attacks at his eyes because Lennon was heavily guarded with his discs. 

It would be bad if I were to fail at the first attempt and he should decide to focus all his attacks on my cowardly self.
