Robert's point of view
I sat in my office, staring blankly at the documents spread across my desk. The numbers and words blurred together, refusing to make any sense. My thoughts were consumed by Elena, and no matter how hard I tried to focus, I couldn't shake the memory of her from my mind.
It had been a week since I last saw her, and every passing day felt like an eternity. The text messages we exchanged throughout the day provided some solace, but they were a poor substitute for her presence. I missed her laugh, her smile, the way her eyes lit up when she saw me. More than anything, I missed the warmth of her body in my arms.
With a sigh, I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. I needed to see her, to hold her, to breathe in her scent. The longing was unbearable.
The last time was on the beach, and we never shared any video calls after our last one.
Hell, even I plan after our meeting in the coffee shop to be able to take her to some hotel room but that doesn't work out.
My phone buzzed with a new message made me shake my thoughts off.
It was from Elena.Elena: How's your day going?
I smiled, feeling a surge of affection. She had a way of brightening even the darkest of days.
Robert: It's been a long day, but better now that I'm talking to you. How about you?
Elena: Same here, just finished up at the restaurant.
I stared at her message, my heart aching with the need to see her. An idea struck me, and without overthinking it, I typed out a response.
Robert: Can you come over to my office? I can't breathe anymore I may die soon if I don't sniff your scent right now.
I hit send, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement. It was a bold request, but I couldn't help myself. I needed to see her, to feel her close to me.
A few moments later, my phone buzzed again.Elena: Are you serious?
Robert: Dead serious. Please, Elena, I need to see you.
There was a long pause, and I held my breath, waiting for her response.
Finally, it came.Elena: Okay, I'll be there soon.
I exhaled, a wave of relief washing over me, even though I know it's a risk to see each other in my office, but honestly, I don't care.
Robert: I can't wait for you to be in my arms. See you sunshine.
I want to see her and feel her right now that is all it's matters.
I stood up from my desk, pacing the room in anticipation. The minutes dragged on, each one feeling like an hour. I couldn't wait to hold her, to feel the comfort and joy that only she could bring.
When I heard the knock on my office door, my heart leaped. I opened it to find Elena standing there, looking as beautiful as ever. She wore a simple black dress that clung to her curves in all the right places, and her hair was loose around her shoulders."Hi," She said softly, a shy smile playing on her lips.
"Hi," I replied, unable to keep the grin off my face. I stepped aside to let her in.
My eyes lay on Anna, my secretary.
“You can leave for the rest of the day,” I told her.
“Okay, Sir.” She nodded before I closed the door.As soon as the door clicked shut, I pulled Elena into my arms, burying my face in her hair. The familiar scent of her shampoo and the warmth of her body filled my senses, and I felt a sense of peace wash over me.
"I missed you so much," I whispered in her ear.
"I missed you too," She replied, her arms wrapping around my neck.
