Nassiah looked at all four of his kids, two packed- only because they were excited to see their father. The other two not listening. He exhaled sharply as he listened to the older two of them argue about leaving."Come on girls- help auntie put your bags in the car" Tash tried, she didn't want to overstep recently. Especially because the whole King and Nay fight. She wanted to let Nassiah handle it- he was their dad after all. So instead she finished doing the girls hair then distracted them when things got heated.
"But I don't want to leave- what if something happens to you? Then imma be in New York!" King started and Nassiah just looked at him. The worst part is they could happen- King knew that only because he was there hearing all the facts when Ramil Junior spoke.
"Aint nothing gonna happen to me, you know who I am? I'm not easily killed" Nassiah finally responded.
"Wait what? What the fuck is going on here?"
"I don't know when you thought you can cuss this much- but dead the shit. You ain't too old for ass whooping Naylani"
"King talking bout you gonna die- I deserve to know! You are my dad! I'm not just some random baby you watched until my mom got out of jail- you my dad just as much as his!" She started and Nassiah opened his mouth then shut up. He let his daughter have her emotions before deciding how to respond.
"Did I say I wasn't your dad? Did anyone but King dumb ass say that? You is my kid you right! So I'm doing this as your dad to keep you safe. It's not yall job to worry about me . Yall the fucking kids"
"I'm not going anywhere!" Naylani cried and Nassiah clenched his jaw.
"Can't we just stay at Maurice house? It's out of the city a bit" king offered. "I'm not going to New York Pa not without you!" He added and crossed his arms. Nassiah just looked at the two. He didn't have the energy- the past days he didn't sleep and if he did it was a hour or two most. He didn't want to eat- he couldn't all he knew was he needed to be the first to know when the saints reached Chicago.
"Y'all don't fucking listen!" Nassiah finally snapped. "I can't do what I gotta do until I know yall safe" he finally stated but Naylani was already pulling out his phone. As soon as she heard her dad answer the tears started.
"Daddy I don't wanna leave for New York" she cried into the phone. "What about Pa? He can't be alone- I don't want - king said- I don't like this. I just want all of us together!" She started and he exhaled.
"Stop calling that man- he can't help you from New York! All he can do is whoop your ass for being hard headed when you get off the plane" Nassiah snapped and King just shook his leg, it bounced up and down as he tried to calm himself down. He wasn't going. He knew that for sure.
"I'm going to school" king finally stated, he got up quickly and Naylani looked up at her brother. "I'm going to school- then I'm going to track when I get back you will be here, you always are- you don't work. And in a few days dad will be home and this will just be something stupid" He added and nodded his head slowly.
"King sit your ass down before I put hands on you" Nassiah stated. "Why yall don't listen like your sisters?"
"You can whoop me all you want, we know I can handle it" king added "I'm not leaving you- you put me on that plane I will find my way back to you" King stated plainly.
Tash came back in with both twins and their bag and Nassiah looked back at them. "Bad news- flight delayed - pilot died"
"Got to be fucking kidding me" Nassiah grunted.
"See- god wanted me to stay"
"I'm glad you and god are close- cause I'm finna send you to him" Nassiah gritted through his teeth.
