Third Person POV

Not long after, Noel and Luca made their way to the garage - Noel still yawning, Luca bouncing like he'd consumed six espressos instead of one.

Noel pressed one of the key fobs on the counter, and a sleek dark grey car blinked it's lights.

"Well hello, gorgeous" Luca said to the car, impressed. "You've been holding out on me"

"It's not mine" Noel said quickly.
"Grandpa just lets me choose whenever I visit."

"Grandpa's got taste"

They got in, and the drive through Los Angeles was the perfect contrast to the heaviness of the past few days - sunlight warming the sky, palm trees swaying lazily, radio humming softly. Luca kept trying to play road trip music, Noel kept switching it to her sad girl music playlist, and after a small war, they settled on a chaotic mix of both.

Once they left the busy street, Luca gazed out the window, "Where are we going?"

"My house" Noel said casually.

"You have a house?"

"Yeah, I call it the 'Away From Bright Wilson' house"

They drove for a little while until Noel stopped at a property, the gates opened to reveal the seaside property - a beautiful calming home overlooking the ocean - Luca let out an impressed whistle.

"No way. You have better taste than Raffaele"

"I'll just choose to take that as a compliment" Noel said as the car came to a stop in front of the house.

Noel unlocked the front door, flicked on the lights and there it was, her home.

Warm, aesthetic, simple but undeniably luxurious - exactly her vibe.

Luca stepped inside slowly, turning in a circle. "This is.. wow. Wanna sell it to me?"

"No"

"Fair, I wouldn't sell this house either"

Noel then took initiative. "Come, I'll show you around"

They were about to explore the house when-
crash!

The sharp sound of glass breaking echoed from the kitchen.
Luca froze instantly "What was that?"

Before she could answer, he instinctively grabbed the nearest 'weapon' - an umbrella - and held it up like a knight sword.

Noel blinked. "Luca"

"Stay behind me" he whispered dramatically, stalking forward.

"I literally own this house" she whispered back but still followed.

They tiptoed to the kitchen - Luca leading the way with the umbrella raised like he meant business.

And he did - after all he was Dante Cassano's heir. A simple umbrella could be anything in his hands.

And then they saw him.

A person crouched on the floor, gathering broken glass pieces with a frown of frustration.

Noel stepped out from behind Luca, eyes widening. "Wait -"

She recognized that silhouette instantly. That black mop of hair, the chaotic posture. She looked at what he was picking up and seeing a piece of the glass with her symbol, she lost it.

"London Malloy - my glass!" she shrieked.

London flinched so hard he slipped, hand pressing straight onto a shard. "Ow- shit!"
