Third Person POV
"-- we send someone in" Matteo didn't raise his voice, but the statement cut through everything else in the room.
Luca shook his head immediately. "And get them flagged within hours?"
"Not if they know what they are doing"
"Everyone in this room, knows what they are doing" Luca shot back. "That's not the issue"
Elio leaned forward slightly from his seat beside him. "Then what is?"
"The fact that the moment someone new starts askin the right questions in a place like that, they stop being invisible" Luca said. "And the second they stop being invisible, they're done"
Seb, standing near the wall beside Adrian, crossed his arms. "So we just sit here?"
"No" Alessandro replied calmly. "We move with information, not assumptions"
"We don't have enough information" Matteo said. "That's the problem."
"And sending someone in without it doesn't fix that" Alessandro returned.
"It gives us something"
"It gives them something too" Luca cut in. "Which is worse"
The room fell into a brief, tight silence because they had already been through this, more than once, different angles, same wall.
Damien stood at the center of it, listening rather than interrupting, eyes fixed on the layered data across the screen.
Everything still circled back to one place.
The university. And nowhere specific within it.
That was problem.
Then the door opened and Noel stepped in. She didn't speak immedialty, she just looked and was a bit suprised to see the twins and Luca's friends there.
All of them were present, apart from the other girl with long beautiful curly hair, her name Emerald.
It then clicked to her, they weren't just friends because they met at university, it was because of structure, same network, same alignment. That explain the cohesion.
She stepped further in.
"Why does it sound like you're planning something illegal?" she asked lightly and everyone turned.
"Noel?" Luca looked at her, suprised, but not entirely.
"Noel, what are you doing here?" Damien asked.
"What do you mean? You're the one who called me here" Hearing that, Damien immediately turned to Kane.
"Yes, I brought her in earlier" he said. "Before this discussion reached a decision point"
Luca's expression shifted. "Without telling Damien?"
"It wasn't a decision" Kane replied. "It was preparation"
Damien's gaze rested on him again. It was not approval nor disapproval. Just acknowledment.
"Whether it was preparation, or what not I'm already here, it doesn't matter" Noel said as she sat, her eyes met Raffaele's briefly.
A small nod. Returned with a smile from the lady.
Raffaele acknowledging her was big.
She also met Calista's eyes and greeted her by just smiling, which was returned then she went into business.
"Would you mind telling me why I was brought here, sir Kane?" she said her eyes finding Kane.
"Kane is just fine" Kane said, moving to the screens.
