Camilla's POV

"So I found what you were looking for, are you sure this girl is your babysitter?" Alex asks

"You had Alex look in to your babysitter!" Emily says

"Shut it! I don't need your judgment" I say to Emily

"Is this a third case?" Emily asks

"No, I just want to see what she's on about, she's a mysterious girl" I say

"Ariana st. James is her full name" Alex says

"Oh I know her!" Emily says

"You do?"

"Yeah she was a victim of our case about four years ago just before Alex joined us, she was kidnapped are you sure that's your babysitter? I wonder what she's up to now"

"She's babysitting my kids Em.. are you sure you aren't still drunk?" I say

"No I meant what she's doing now, her parents died when she was seven and she was kidnapped from her foster home at 13"

"If you would've let me get the rest of my story out I was gonna tell her that" Alex says

"Oh sorry, continue" Emily rolls her eyes

"She works at a strip club most nights" Alex hands me a file "I had to do a deep dive for that but otherwise she's clean"

"A strip club? Is that even legal?" I open the file

"It seems like it is for her" Emily says

Alex and I give her an annoyed look

"There's no more records of her foster homes" I say

"I haven't found anything after she turned 16" Alex says

I sigh

"What are you gonna do Cam?" Emily says

"How do you know I'm gonna do something?"

"I know that look which means you'd better consult your wife before you make any sudden moves"

"I-"

"Hey guys, I felt left out so I wanted to come up here and join you, what are we talking about" Jennifer walks into my office

I notice that Emily and Alex have a sly look on their faces

"Emily-"

"You're wife had Alex do a full background check on your babysitter" Emily says

"You what!" Jennifer looks me in the eye

"It's true, she had me up all night" Alex smiles

"Camilla?" Jennifer says

"It is true" I sigh

"I can't believe you!"

"I had to know about her Jennifer! And you'd want to know too" I hand her the file

She looks through the file with a horrified expression on her face then throws the case file back onto my desk

"Go get her tonight and we will finish this conversation later" she walks out

"Uh nice going! Do you two enjoy ruining my sex life?"

"Eh"
"A little bit" they say

I put my glasses on and start typing on my computer

"What are you doing now?" Alex says

"I'm ordering flowers for Jennifer"

"Maybe we got the lover girl role mixed up" Alex laughs
