It wasn't your usual afternoon because as much as you wanted to rush your way home and lay in bed, and perhaps get a good dinner with Rei, shit ain't happening apparently because outside of your class room was a thunder storm that had no weather advisory whatsoever.

It was one of those days where the weather conditions earlier didn't meet with the afternoon and night weather whatsoever. And the fact that the weather app on your phone gave no hints of this devilish weather, only made you more annoyed and pissed off because of the many possibilities you could do at home.

With a groan you sat on one of the schools bench along with Kazuha as she swing her foot up and down trying to suppress her boredom.

"You got an umbrella Y/N?"

"Hell nah, I don't carry around umbrellas remember?"

"That's why you always get sick. You really need to start taking care of yourself Y/N."

Kazuha's words reminded you of your mother, always constantly nagging you about simple stuff but looking back at it now, it all made sense. Sure you hated how she would always talk about this simple things in life over and over again but you gotta understand, when you think you know everything, you don't know anything. From simple "I get it", to "I don't get it". Or from "I don't need help" to "Please help me".

You have to open up your mind that the world, doesn't swirl around you. You don't know anything at all. Your not a being who knows all things in this world. People who are near the finish line have experiences that you didn't know or even experience at all.

"Hey Y/N. Why are you zoning out?"

You snapped out of your trance as the first thing you saw was Kazuha's hand waving at you. You found it weird how Kazuha's words managed to bring you to an external crisis of yourself to snapping back to reality.

"Sorry, Just feeling relaxed at the weather is all."

"Oh? Yeah, I remember how we would stay at cafés just chilling there whenever it's raining like this."

Both you chuckled at that because the memories both flooded your mind. It was a bit nostalgic remembering those time because it was just so perfect. The memories you shared with her will never be replaced and more memories of that will continue to go as your friendship together still continues on.

"Say, after the rain stop a little or if it gets a little weaker, Let's hang out at your place."

Out of instinct, you were almost about to agree but then you remembered that Rei was over at your house staying. The explosion of possible confusion will concur if you managed to let Kazuha stay at your house. So before you can speak up, you could only chuckle awkwardly at her presenting a smile which wasn't your usual smile.

"Umm.. Maybe ne-"

"Oh look the rain stopped. It's great sign right? Come on."

Kazuha giggled as she walked forward. You wanted to say no to her but that smile and enthusiasm from Kazuha was making you so guilty. You didn't want to see Kazuha frown after all, her smile right now is as bright after the Storm. The guilt inside you was slowly piling up but you ended up doing what's best for everyone.

Pulling out your phone, you dialed in the number of Rei. It took a few rings before Rei answered.

"Hello? Y/N-Kun? You forgot your umbrella here at home.

"Ah yes, I did. Listen, Can you do me a favor Rei-chan.

On the other side of the phone, Rei was flustered because she didn't expect you to call her Rei-chan out of nowhere. Her little heart made a little jump when she heard that from you as she tried to held in her giggles. Although it was her first time hearing you say it, she was already liking how it sound in her ears.
