Though Rei was celebrating the amount of money they had, You and Minji stayed at the back walking knowing the money that you hold wasn't for sure enough. Despite unlocking the cards amount was a total of 10 grand. It wasn't big, but surely, if utilized well, it will just be enough to cover everything that is needed.

But during the walk back to the university, Minji was rather quiet and seemingly fighting off thoughts only she knows about. It wasn't just now, the moment she wrote down her pin number, her entire demeanor changed. Her cold and rude persona seemingly disappearing. As if the numbers she inputed swallowed her entire persona.

Of course you couldn't careless about she's thinking because your not a nosy person. You know your own limits when it comes to handling someone else problem. You would often just tackle your own problems than help with other's. Because you know for a fact that playing hero isn't the trend or what society is thinking nowadays. There isn't a clear checkmark where someone can be labeled as a hero.

Whatever your eyes see nowaday needs to be placed with a grain of salt. Articles of scripted act of kindness can be seen all over the world. Multiple news articles saying that everything is scripted blinded people of their judgement. That hope that things wouldn't have been this way, starts to kindle down to ashes.

But the urge to ask Minji what's the problem itches you so much.

But do you have the proper relationship to even be friendly with Minji? You know that she still hates your guts and you are already are expecting a sassy response from her of perhaps a cold one showing that she absolutely sees you below her. It's your own pride that seems to hold you back from reaching out to Minji.

"Rei, let's take a break for once."

"Eh? What do you mean Y/N-Kun?"

"Let's have some burgers from that food truck. I'm hungry."

You didn't have to repeat what you said as Rei's eyes sparkled with delight. As your hand aimed to where the food truck was, she didn't waste any movement from her body as she made a beeline towards the vehicle. A soft chuckle escaped your mouth as it always was a nice scene seeing Rei go bonkers for food. But your eyes darted towards Minji who seems to have just ignored what you said was staring to nothingness.

"Hey Minji."

"Huh? What?"

Your face was close towards her once again, similar to something from earlier at the university. You were trying to trench the waters and see her reaction for the 2nd time.

"I'm buying burgers. What do you want?"

"I'll pass, I don't like commoners food."

You blinked suprised. Not because she rejected the offer nor was it because of her comment about burgers. But what caught you to widen your eyes is the fact that Minji seemingly didn't give a damn how close your face was towards her. The distance was very similar to earlier yet this time, her reaction was totally different.

"Well you'll have to get used to it since that's all we're gonna eat at my place. Besides, it's my treat. After all, you did brought it the cash."

With a sigh, Minji just nodded her head seemingly just agreeing for the sake of agreeing. You didn't know if it was fatigue, or a changed of heart, or both, or neither because Minji didn't even put out a fight. Usually Minji would have scoffed, roll her eyes or even scream at you for suggesting such thing. But this time it's the complete opposite.
