Chapter 29

Two weeks went by, and both Namsoon and Ryu Si-O were busy with their own plans. The police have started to pick up their pace on the investigation. Heesik warned Namsoon that he couldn't stop his superior from intervening in the case. Namsoon has got to be faster if she wants Ryu Si-O to turn himself in. Namsoon wanted the same thing, but it's hard considering their situation now. Namsoon is working with Heesik and Geumju's private helper, Opulentia. They are closely monitoring Pavel's movement.

On the other hand, things are not going smoothly for Ryu Si-O. His business is interrupted by the police and the new prosecutor. He doesn't know how, but the new prosecutor managed to send the stolen jacket to the lab and examine it. They found traces of narcotics in the feather. Ryu Si-O was forced to make a press conference to salvage the situation. He took out a portion of the jackets and cut through them. He then poured water on the feather, and all the feathers floated in the water.

He does not admit to running a drug business and emphasises that they are being framed. Some reporters were not convinced. "You might've intentionally chosen jackets that are not associated with the drugs. You could've hidden the jackets that are stashed with drugs." One of the reporters said, as if challenging. He replied to the reporter with a cunning look, "You can cut all the jackets if you want. The only condition is that you have to pay for all the losses we faced." He said with a smirk.

After the press conference, he went back to his office. He is exhausted, these past few days have not been easy on him. He was about to sit on his chair when he received a call from an unknown number. It's a Russian number. His heart skipped a beat. "Hello." He answered. "You've been brave with all this shit, Anton." A deep Russian voice could be heard on the other line. "Noszh?" Ryu Si-O tried his luck. "So you knew we'd be coming for you. You better find a place to hide, because the moment we get our hands on you, it won't be pretty." Noszh threatened and ended the call.

Ryu Si-O is pissed once more. He slammed the mobile on his desk, almost smashing the screen. Noszh is the successor of Pavel. For him to personally call Ryu Si-O, it must've mean the organisation is ready to replace him. He took a deep breath and called Secretary Yoon to his office. Secretary Yoon came in one minute later. "Find me the location of the new prosecutor." He said in a cold voice. "Yes, Sir." Secretary Yoon bowed and got out of the office to get to work.

Ryu Si-O is sitting in his car while closing his eyes. He feels lifeless these days, he can't understand his purpose in living anymore. Back then, the only reason he wanted to live was because of revenge. Now that he might have a chance to do so, his heart is not exactly joyful. He couldn't understand himself anymore. He thought Tsetseg was just another passerby in his life, maybe he let her in more than he allowed himself to.

He started to look at their text exchanges, reminiscing about their moments together. He chuckled bitterly. It was funny of him to think they might have a future together. A single tear dropped from his right eye. His thought was interrupted by a phone call. "Sir, I found the location of the prosecutor." Secretary Yoon said. Ryu Si-O immediately starts his car and drives to the said location.

It was rather a quiet location, maybe because it was 3 in the morning. He was sitting in his car, watching the prosecutor and his friends drunkenly walk to their car. Getting off his car, he walked to them slowly. He appeared in front of them like a ghost. "Hey! What are you doing? Move away." One of the friends said as he is blocking the door to their car. He smirked and started to attack them. Even though he had stopped taking the drug and has a lean body, he is extremely strong and good at punches. He has been training himself ever since he can remember. He doesn't want to be labeled as weak anymore.
