Jacks POV:

Nobody's POV:
Zach went to the base fast, going at least 50 mph to get away from the zombies that come out at night. Around a few minutes, Jack radios Zach, "ZACH, ZACH I NEED YOUR HELP, DON'T MAKE ME REGRET IT!"
"What's wrong? Are you in trouble?!" Zach sounds genuinely worried.
Am I in trouble— noooo I radioed you just to piss you off- OF COURSE IM IN TROUBLE-
"THERE'S A GIANT HOARD OF ZOMBIES HEADING MY WAY AND FAST, I WON'T MAKE IT TO THE BASE WITHOUT YOUR HELP–"
Zach's POV:
I finally get to the base, driving fast. I get into a different car that's stronger and I start to drive over to Jack. After around a minute or two, I see Jack running quickly away from the zombies that are maybe half a mile away and coming closer by the second.
Nobody's POV:
"Oh shi-"
"Just grab your sniper and shoot as many as you can," Jack says, limping over to Zach.
"You ok? Did you get bit again?!"
"Just shoot the zombies already, forget about me!"
Zach gets his sniper and shoots some zombies down, one by one. Jack puts a bandage around his ankle.
"I'm almost out of ammo—" Zach stops talking when he sees Jack walking to the hoard of zombies. "Hey, hey, what are you doing?!" Zach says while Jack walks towards the hoard of zombies.
"Well, I have to do something useful for once don't I?" Jack gets a bit annoyed at Zach because he's asking too many questions.
The zombies are around 10-20 yards away from Jack and he stops walking. Holding his axe tightly, it glows red. He throws his axe and kills 10 zombies at once. Zach shoots as many zombies as he can to help him. Jack throws a grenade from his pocket and throws it into the hoard of zombies.
"Jesus f- YOU OK?!" Zach screams to Jack.
"Y-yea I'm fine, don't worry about me..." he whispers to himself, "Rocks for brains," he laughs a bit.
Jack continues to swing his axe and kills the zombies surrounding him. He gets scratched a few times but he doesn't care anymore. Well I'm going to turn, so, I might as well do as much as I can before I do. Ah, fuck...that poison is strong, it's hurting my whole arm now...stop it, Jack, you need to kill all these zombies. The blade of his axe glows and goes up in flames.
"Zach, get some gasoline from the car in the trunk." Jack yells to Zach.
"But—"
"Don't ask questions, just do it!"Jack yells to Zach, annoyed.
Zach gets the gasoline from the trunk and throws it to Jack, he catches it and spills it all over the zombies. He runs around the hoard and makes a circle of gasoline around the zombies.
"ZACH, GET BEHIND THE TRUCK AND COVER YOUR HEAD!"
Jack puts his flaming axe down on the ground and lights up the gasoline. A big flame surrounds the hoard of zombies. He throws a grenade into the middle of the hoard and explodes most of the zombies. He kills the remaining zombies with his fiery axe.
"You can come out now, they're all dead," Jack says to Zach, who is still hiding behind the truck.
"H-how did you manage to kill all those zombies? There were around 300!" Zach says in disbelief.
"Eh," Jack shrugs, "I guess I just know what to do in these types of situations with limited resources." His axe turns back to normal.
"Let's go home now your sister is waiting for you," Zach says, who looks like he is still processing what just happened.
Ugh fine, I'll give him a chance...after all, he did help me kill those zombies and prevented me from dying. Jack thinks to myself, rolling his eyes.
"Hey, you still remember what I said before?" Zach nods, "Well since you helped me, I guess you can be friends with her, nothin' more though. Understand?"
Zach nods and looks down at the ground, a little frightened, "I understand..."
They both get back into the car, the sun rising and the zombies burning from the sunlight.
"Hmm that's odd..." Jack says.
"What is?"
"The zombies, they're burning slower than before."
"Hey, at least they're burning up—"
"Yeah but...why? What happens if one day, they don't burn up at all during the day...?" Jack says looking down, thinking.
"True...hmm...we need to make a plan if that ever does happen."
