"DON'T STOMP ON THE SPIDER!"

----

Peace. Something I have NEVER experienced, and never WILL experience.

After fighting two wars in a year, you'd think I'd get some peace for a change. But apparently, the Gods and the fates had other plans.

Let's have a catch up on what I've experienced in the past few months, shall we, people?

Number-ah ONE. Fought in a huge war and lost people I cared for with all my heart, ALMOST SAW MY ONLY REAL BROTHER FIGURE DIE. (At least he's alive now.. Thank you Hemera, peace and love.)

NUMBER-AH TWO. Got separated from my, MY Percy.

Number-AH THREE. BROKE MY DAM ANKLE.

NUMBER-ah FOUR. Retrieved a statue that has been missing for SO DARN LONG. AND lost two of my most prized possessions ALONG WITH IT.

Nunber-AHHHHHHH FIVEE. GOT PULLED INTO LITERAL HELL BY A GIANT UGLY SPIDER WOMAN LADY THING.

Peace, I lack thee. I. Lack. Thee.

I would GLADLY take up any offer to die. But I can't, because LIFE!

My thoughts were blocked out by a firm knock on the door. I opened the door, hoping it was Percy telling me that Chiron was totally lying about the war thing as a prank and we were all going to Disneyland, CELEBRATIONS!!

Or Luke with the stolen Starbucks coffee that I really, REALLY need.

But no, it was.. Scylla Artino, head counsellor of Hecate cabin.

"Annabeth Chase." She said formally, looking rather pissed off.

"Hi, Scylla." I said, with forced enthusiasm, because she looked like she'd punch me right about now.

"It's obvious. Our cabin is split in half right now. So, can you and the rest of cabin 6 try to re-design the place? It's not authentic enough." Nodded Scylla as if reading off a script.

"Sure! I'll inform my other cabin mates." I said with a forceful smile

"Fine." Scylla gave me a slight smile and left.

Well, alright..

----

Me and my half-siblings stood outside, looking at the now destroyed Hecate cabin, discussing what to improve on the design.

".. Maybe add more wine red to the color palette? The full purple theme just isn't contrasting well enough." Suggested one of them, I only listened half-heartedly. Lost in thought, no passion ignited within me.

I saw a familiar purple-streaked-hair girl running towards us, clearly concerned. Maybe about her cabin?

Amethyst looked at us, a sheepish look on her face. My half-siblings stopped talking, abruptly, as they looked at Amethyst with curiosity.

"Hello, Amethyst." Said Andrew, my favorite half-sibling. No offense to the others or anything!

"Uhm, hello, you guys." She said, glancing at all of us.

"My pet, just ran away because it got scared of the cabin splitting in half. Uhm, have you guys seen him?" Asked the green-eyed girl.

I felt pity. Probably a cat or something, right? The Hecate cabin loved those cuties..

I felt this weird feeling on my leg.. Probably just a string loose on my leggings or something.

"I'm not sure. What is the pet, again?" Asked Andrew, ever the caring one.

"Dave. He's- a spider. This big.. Spidery spindles, uh-" She stopped, seeing the look on my face.

"A.. S-spider?" I asked, trembling.

"Ye- DAVE!" Yelled Amethyst in joy, looking at my leg. I slowly looked down at my leg. Spider? Spider.

I screamed the loudest scream I have ever scram, so loud, Luke and Hemera, who were in a very serious conversation, winced at the sound. Looking at me in concern. I saw Percy quickly stumble out the Poseidon cabin, confusion etched into his face.

"SPIDER IN YOUR HAIR!!" He yelled, unhelpfuly.

This scream was louder.
