I was practicing my swordfighting skills, no particular reason... (Incase I have to fight another War..) when Annabeth approached me.
"Percy, Chiron's calling us." she said, looking at me in a little worry.
"Why?" I asked, noticing her somewhat wary expression.
"If I knew I would tell you. Come on."
I capped Riptide and put it in my pocket while following her to the big house. We didn't talk on the way, which wasn't a good sign.

When we got there, I found a few of my friends- Piper, Jason, Frank, Hazel and Rachel- sitting in the living room with Chiron the Centaur, who was looking at them with an all-knowing expression.

"Sit down." said Chiron.
Annabeth sat down and I sat down beside her.
I was glad having her near me, something about Chiron's expression worried me. Another war? Another fight? What else was new, right? I expected the worst.
Positive thoughts, I thought in my brain.
"Hello, all of you. I'm grateful you all gathered here upon my request." Chiron started, looking at us all with an intense gaze.
"For I have, received news." He said, everyone's expression turned grim. Couldn't have been good news, could it have? I was half-hoping Chiron would say, "We're going to Disneyland!" Though.. I wasn't sure that'd work out.
"I have been sent a message by Hecate, for she wishes for you to cross her roads and choose your doing. A quest you must take on, she had said to me. Of course.. It is your choice, and that is why she wishes for you all to cross a path." Said Chiron,
His expression softening as he shook his head, "I'm sorry, so soon, right after the war.."
"Find Hecate? Can't she just.. Come to us and let us decide here?" Asked Jason, Piper nodding next to him, not looking to be in the mood of cackling.
"Yes, why can't she come here? Is it that big of a step we have to take, that she can't even come here?" Added Piper, looking at Chiron with a questioning gaze, Hazel shook her head.
"Piper, it must be so grim of a path to take, we must take it upon ourselves, and only ourselves.. Do you know anything of this so called 'quest', Mr. Chiron?" Asked Hazel, Chiron shook his head.
"I'm afraid not. You yourself must find Hecate." Said Chiron, sadly. "But she mentioned she needed specifically 8 people. There are currently only 7 of you-"

They heard an explosion in the distance, Annabeth turned to look at me suspiciously.
"Seaweed brain, did you explode the plumbing?" She asked me, I shook my head innocently.
"Nuh-uh! I'm not scared! C'mon wise girl, give me some respect!" I feigned offense, Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"Wait a minute.. Is that what I think it is?!" Said Piper, looking at the window in amazement.
"That's-" Rachel started,
"Festus and-" Jason said quickly,
"Leo." Frank finished it for Jason.
