I was in gym, my sleeves rolled up, showing my shoulders and we were playing volleyball. I smacked the ball to the other side, God I love volleyball. I noticed Danny's chest bounce as she tried to run and get it. When she hit it over, I was still staring, and the ball hit my face. Blood was dropping from my nose and I was bright red. I covered my nose and I made my way to the nurse. Before I could get out of the door, Danny ran over to me. "Oh my god I'm so sorry Emmy!" "It's fine." I left rather quickly. Thank God she didn't notice me staring.

When it came lunch time, I was sitting with Danny, the twins, and a few other kids in my class. I never ate around Danny, I was just uncomfortable with it. I sipped at the tea in my lunchbox and handed the twins the rest of my food. I was looking down at my nails when I heard one of them start to read something. "Hey sweetie, I packed you your inhaler for volleyball game tonight. Make sure you eat today. Also, I picked up those new tampons for your thong you wear with your shorts. Love mom. Kisses." I was bright red. "Did you seriously just read that?" I grabbed the note, ripped it up and threw it away. All of them were laughing and the guys at my table were all smirking at me cause the word 'thong'. I got up from the table, taking my lunchbox and dumping out all the food, and I left the cafeteria.

As the day slowly dragged on, I was in CAP class, Civil Air Patrol, and we were running the mile. I think God hates me. The entire time, I was either staring at Danny's ass or her boobs. when I was way ahead of everyone, including Danny, I mumbled to myself. "Stop staring her like that. It's wrong." I finished at an even 7 minute mile and I sat in the grass, waiting for everyone else.

On the way home, Danny sat next to me like always, except, I had in my headphones listening to a new song. I had heard it on the radio this weekend in the car. It was called Same Love. My family are huge homophobes, so when I was actually listening to it, my brother quickly changed it. "Good song. Ya know, gets people together." Danny smiled, pulling out one of my ear buds. If it was any other person, I would've killed them.
