Arriving at school after a heavy tension car ride, I ran out and stopped on the nearest path to breathe because honestly, I couldn't in the car. I couldn't even bring down the window because when I opened even a slight tiny fraction of a slit, he looked as if he was about to knock me out if I didn't shut it in the next second of my life on earth.
That's typical Greg in the morning. After knowing and crushing on him for ten years I've seen the mornings where he was at his worst and at his best. How about today? He was in the middle. Not at his best where he is just slightly irritated nor was he at his worst where he would have that crazy look in his eye and if you even displayed any hint of life existing... a chill went down my back just thinking about it. You could say that looks really can kill.
"Hey, babe", a familiar deep smooth voice says from behind, wrapping their strong arms around me. The smell of an expensive cologne whiffed into my nose. My body froze up. I hear them chuckle "Calm down, I'm not a pervert nor am I going to kidnap you."
I turn to see the face I wanted to see most today. But then looked away when our eyes met. " H-Hey, Francis."
"Wow, I'm hurt. Is this the way you treat me after flirting with me all night, last night?" He faked a pained expression. Oh my goodness, could he be any louder? My heart was already going 100 km/h. "Ah, right. I remember now. Romantic and mean. Or as they call it, 'Treat them mean, keep them keen', right? "
I wasn't even internally face palming myself anymore. It's turned to head banging against an imaginary table. On the outside, I felt as if steam was coming off my face because of how hot it was. I didn't even want to think about how red I looked.
I escaped his grip and walked off quickly before people started to create rumors. But without a doubt, his long legs caught up in no time. I'm around 5'3". Quite short actually. He was about 6'1"-6'2". Very tall and to short girls like myself, it was a big bonus for a guy.
We were standing on the side of the hall way, on the side of the girl's change room only because I had PE first period. I was almost touching the wall but, casually talking to Francis who towered over me and was at a safe distance. As bell goes off, he took a big step close and bent down towards me. And me being me, I took a step back only to be up against the wall. Our faces were quite close and could smell the scent of mint of from his breath. He pulled up his hood over his head and put his hand near his mouth, making the whispering gesture.
There was a smirk on his face but nonetheless I was curious so I slightly turned my neck, giving him my ear. In one fast quick movement, he gave me a small kiss on the cheek and then whispered "Pay back for that surprise attack in the car."
He pulled back and I didn't know what had just happened. "Don't worry, people thought I was just whispering into your ear, thanks to the angle of your head."
I opened to say something but he cut me off.
"See you at lunch, chica."
My eyes just watch him walk away till he was no longer in sight.
"What are you just standing here for? Are you going to go in or not?" A voice said. I turn to see Rachel. She gave me a weird look after seeing my face. " What's wrong with your face?"
I grabbed her and asked "Am I dreaming?"
Her eyes widened, looking extremely surprised and she looked at Kate who just shrugged her shoulders."U-Uh.. I-I don't think so?"
I gave her serious look and then entered the girl's change room. "Thanks."
I heard Kate say" What was that about? Has she finally lost the plot?"
