It has already been a week since you have taken care of Neuvillette in his small hydro dragon form. He was still ever persistent in helping you as well in your work at the Palais which for you is adorable watching him in his small dragon form.

These days may seem normal, but now you need to bear the responsibilities of handling Neuvillette's duties.

Furina made the announcement to everyone at the Palais Mermonia of me being in charge of everything and Neuvillette's work for a time being making up some storytelling excuse of why Neuvilette is excused from his duties.

While everyone didn't react much since they all knew how well you can do your work better than everyone, this resulted in the impending tiring week of your life though you did your tasks as exemplary as always despite the added pressure and workload.

You were glad that Clorinde and Chevreuse can handle to manage the Maison Gardiennage and Marechaussee Phantom on their own, which leaves you handling the Maison Gestion, Maison Cardinalice, and Maison Ordalie.

It has been a bit difficult with the never-ending paperwork and meetings to deal with. Gestionnaire coming to you to check each and every document for final confirmation, Cardinal assistants presenting financial reports and business proposals to oversee, and reviewing people filing for trials which you are glad that Sedene offered to organize the schedule on those.

And those were only just tasks within the Palais Mermonia! 

There is still a lot to do like survey of businesses if they are following within the management protocols and contract of their establishment as written in Fontaine's Law books, examine the development of the senior researchers projects in the institute, maintenance checking of the Gardemeks; Although Chevreuse promised to be responsible with these sorts of job to lessen your work but you were still determined to live up to the expectations of everyone and for Neuvillette.

The most annoying of it all is constantly hearing your name over and over again some spoke in a monotonous tone, others spoke in a hurried or stressed manner with expression to go along, and some pleading desperately for help in their work.

Thus, another tired day awaits today.

"Ms. Y/N the reports from the Institute are here for you to review"

"Please check these documents for approval Ms. Y/N"

"Ms. Y/N please sign these papers!"

"Y/N wake up"

The sound of a concerned Neuvillette woke me up from the quick rest. As suspected from his voice he seems to be worried leaning his small dragon head to the back of my left hand. An adorable sight that helped regain a bit of energy to continue working as I tried to clear my head to focus back at my work.

"Good afternoon Neuvillette, I'm sorry I dozed off a bit..."

"It is already midnight" Neuvillette bluntly said still leaning on my hand.

I processed his words still feeling sleepy but I clearly heard him saying it was midnight so when I look out the window from the office. I was shocked to see that it was indeed already nighttime, the sky already dark now filled with stars and the streets lights from below of the along the streets of the Court of Fontaine.
