Five days have passed since my near-death experience and Neuvillette transforming back to his human form. The workload of the Court of Fontaine has returned once again in order when Neuvillette returned to his position as Iudex and Chief Justice of Fontaine. Work is still the same as ever however Neuvillette is still bothered by the mixed signals between you two.

The usual calming silence of the Iudex's office is eerily too quiet. Sedene seemed to notice this to for his unusual stoic face which is different from his usual ones.

Today, she entered his office to report his schedule for the day but before she could speak Neuvillette spoke first.

"Sedene is Y/N at her office?"

Sedene shook her head as a reply to his question. "No, Ms. Y/N went to visit the New Fontaine Research Institute."

"Do I have any trials to attend today?" He asked once again.

"No, your schedule for this morning is cleared but His Grace will be visiting you this afternoon."

After Sedene finished speaking, Neuvillette stood up from his seats and walked towards the door while Sedene was baffled by this all of a sudden following him as he walked out.

"Good if there's anyone asking where I am let them know to book a meeting first and wait for my approval. I will return before the scheduled meeting with Wriothesley this afternoon." Neuvillette stated as he continued to walk without stopping.

"Monsiuer Neuvillette where are you going?" Sedene catched up to him to know what the Chief Justice is planning to do.

He looked back at Sedene still looking stoic as earlier however he chose to stop for a moment to answer the Melusine properly.

"To the Research Institute," He bluntly answered. It only took Sedene a second to know why he left his office all of a sudden, she nodded to him as she wished him farewell. Neuvillette was glad that Sedene already got the idea and is assured that she will be able to handle his request.

"I will not want any longer, I want to see her today."

The New Fontaine Research Institute is doing quite well as I approached the improvised building. Some researchers inside there look frazzled running around the place while others are just sitting down and drinking Fonta as they talk with their peers.

I walked towards to where Choiseul is, he has a serious expression on his face as he is reading some notes on a neatly organized table.

Just as he stood up to go get some books, he noticed my figure walking towards him, I even waved a little bit as I nearly approach toward him. His earlier serious expression became surprised until ecstatic when he saw me.

"Y/N, it's been a long time since you visited!" Choiseul exclaimed while he took a chair and offered it for me to sit down.

I smiled and sat down. "Good morning Mr. Choiseul it's good to see you again although I'm here for work from the Palais."

"Everything is still in order the last time I visited here." Except for the buzzling researchers around, the place is neatly arranged despite some books being placed at the floor, it is still in one place of what genre the book is!

He took a seat as well, he had a proud smile on his face from my observant comment and retorted my compliment. "And you're 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled meeting, you never change Y/N as expected of my excellent student!"

"Thank you, Mr. Choiseul, it was through your teachings that I am using the best of my knowledge and capabilities." I smiled once again feeling joy swell up inside of me.
