The sudden noise of your friend jolted you awake from your slumber as your eyes opened to find yourself in your own jail cell. Truth be told, you were hoping thar you were back home sleeping in your own bed, but certain circumstances forced you to spend some time in jail.
(Y/N): Can you not? Geez, I can't even go through a situation without you venting like that.
Kazuma: Are you kidding?! Do you even realize where we are?!
(Y/N): No, I genuinely thought I was at a cozy inn for the night. *small sigh* I sure hope we get free breakfast here~
You snuggled in your cheaply made floor mat, which was very uncomfortable, but there was no other choice. Kazuma only remained silent from your response as he felt the need to strangle you. Unfortunately, both of you were separated from a wall between both of your cells.
(Y/N): *sighs* Look, I know your frustration, but seriously, you really need to chill out with these outbursts. *yawns* Especially when I'm trying to sleep.
Kazuma: *sigh* So much for starting a new life here....
(Y/N): Eh, could be worse.
Kazuma: Like how?!
(Y/N): Need I remind you that I was practically experimented on?
The silence was quite loud as the brown haired teen only put his back up against the wall.
(Y/N): Besides, aren't you glad that at least someone took the fall with you?
Kazuma: You're not wrong...!
You heard him grumble from your spot, which slightly amused you until you fell back to sleep. If anyone might be wondering as to how the both of you ended up in prison, then all it takes is a quick Flashback to the day before you were arrested.
Flashback
(Y/N): Well that doesn't look right at all...!
At the moment, you were looking at yourself at the large mirror in your bedroom and noticed something odd as you stared at your chest. More specifically, the spot where your heart is supposed to be as you noticed a faint yellow glow in your chest along with black veins above your heart.
There wasn't any sign of pain coming from your heart, but the mere sight of the phenomenon sent a small shiver down your spine.
(Y/N): I wonder if Wiz knows anything about this.
You quickly put on your usual wardrobe and exited your room to make your way out of the mansion. You noticed that there was nobody home as you made your way across the halls. This made you think if everyone was already hanging out at the guild this early in the morning.

(Y/N): FUCK!
You were in front of Wiz's shop only to read the "closed" sign placed on the door. A few people, walking by, heard your outburst and immediately backed away as they were startled by the sudden aggression. Truth be told, even you knew that you weren't this agitated... Perhaps it was due to the sudden stress from discovering the mysterious ailment on your chest.
(Y/N): Sorry!
You tried to play it off with a small laugh, but you only turned and walked away in embarrassment.
(Y/N): To the guild, I suppose...
