POV: Third Person
It was the next day, school had already started. Estella kept her semi promise and met Milo before class. He decided that he couldn't only see her at lunch, it wasn't enough for him. So, he went to the school office and requested to transfer some of his classes. Successfully switching to Chemistry from Biology, and changing some electives to join hers. He also made it so that they were in mostly all the same study halls. Unfortunately, he couldn't transfer into the majority of Estella's classes, as he'd discovered that they were apparently all, advanced.
Score one for me. I knew she was smart. Milo thought, to himself.
Third period, study hall. Estella was doodling in a black spiral notebook, slumping over lazily on a rectangular table in the back of the room. The room wasn't set up with individual desks, it was used primarily for science labs. The chair next to her squeaked across the dull tile floor, and she raised her eyes warily to discern who'd taken the seat.
"Milo? What?" She scrunched her face, shaking her head in surprise.
"Hey, beautiful." He replied, sweetly.
"You're going to get in trouble." She warned, in a low voice.
"Why? For attending my study hall?" He challenged, with a smirk.
"Wait, you transferred?" Estella deduced, in disbelief.
"Oh, and not just to this study hall." He revealed, triumphantly handing her his new printed schedule.
"Wow." She gasped, looking at all the new classes they now shared.
"Is that...Is it cool with you?" Milo asked, nervously. Now realizing that he probably should've asked her what she thought first.
"Why did you do this?" She asked, calmly.
"You know why, Princess." He replied, matter-of-factly. "Is that okay?"
She moved her hand to the table top and slid it into his, squeezing it in confirmation and giving him a smile.
"Oh...does that make you happy, babygirl?" He cooed, teasingly.
Estella squinted at him scoldingly, for his teasing tone.
He wrapped his arm around her in a side hug,
"Alright, I'm sorry. Don't get all pouty." He apologized, with a chuckle. "Although it's adorable." He added.
She gently slapped his chest, still in his embrace.
He chuckled again and released her, now getting out his notebooks and books.
She looked at him, suspiciously.
"What? I have to study." He quipped.
She giggled at his goofy expression, and casually returned to doodling.
"Why aren't you doing the same, young lady?" He challenged, feigning a serious tone.
"Really?" She deadpanned.
"You gotta be bogged down in all those advanced classes." Said Milo. "Nerd." He added, in jest.
"Stalker." Estella countered. "I'm already ahead of everything. No offense, but your school sucks." She explained.
"None taken. But it's your school now too." He replied, matter-of-factly.
"Don't remind me." She muttered.
"So how do you get through these study halls with nothing to do?" Milo asked, curiously.
"Slowly." She groaned.
