POV: Third Person
"Hey." Milo whispered to Estella, in study hall.
Estella looked up from her book.
"I'm taking you out on Friday night." He stated, matter-of-factly.
"Is there a question in there that you forgot?" She challenged him, with sass.
"Don't be bratty. You'd think you be in a good mood after..." He trailed off suggestively.
"I'm not being bratty, you matón gigante. I just, would like to know where I'm spending my Friday night." She argued, half-joking.
"Oh, shit. So now, I'm a giant bully?" He quipped with a chuckle.
"Milo." She groaned, mildly scolding him.
"I want to take you out to the club. Jordan says they're all going. He thinks we all need to blow off some steam." Explained Milo.
"Oh, God." Estella muttered.
"What?" Challenged Milo.
"The last date we had, was kind of a disaster." Estella reminded him.
"So, it's our chance to get it right." Milo countered.
"C'mon, I haven't been out with my friends in a while. It'll be fun." Milo argued, light heartedly."So, you go." She suggested, pointedly.
"That's not how this works, baby. You're my girlfriend. We have to do things together sometimes. With people." He put emphasis on the last word.
"You realize that that's my nightmare, right?" Estella quipped, darkly.
"Please?" He pleaded, his eyes dropping into a pathetic puppy dog stare.
He pulled her into him, and nuzzled her hair and her neck. She giggled as he tickled her.
"Please, Princess Estella. Come down from your tower and dance with us lowly peasants." He begged, jokingly. Pouring it on thick.
"You're the King of the school, Milo. Not me." She reminded him.
"Not anymore." He murmured, looking down.
"What do you mean?" She asked, lowering her brow.
"Chrissy." He stated, with irritation.
"God. Why, when every time I hear her name, do I suddenly just feel like a part of me dies?" She shuddered, dramatically.
"Yeah. Me and you both." He muttered, in agreement. "So, she had me "cancelled"." He revealed, using finger quotes.
"Cancelled?" Estella parroted, with a laugh.
"Yeah. But, I don't care. I just need my friends and my girl. I'm all set." Milo scoffed, pulling her in closely.
"She cancelled you..." She repeated, in disbelief, biting her lip thoughtfully. "Oh, that's adorable." Estella then drawled, with a twinge of mean girl in her voice.
"What?" Milo asked, warily.
"Is she the head cheerleader?" Estella asked abruptly, ignoring his concerned tone.
"Yeah..." He answered, in confusion.
"Is she smart?" Asked Estella.
"God, no!" Said Milo. "I don't even know how she's even allowed to stay on the team, her GPA is probably below a 2.0."
Estella looked at him expectantly.
"Oohh!" Said Milo, throwing his head back in realization.
"There has to be a scandal involved." She exclaimed.
