Chapter 5

Hiccup paused with surprise. The officer who broke in had carrot hair and a wild attitude.


He held his hand in front of Astrid to make sure she didn't attack.


"Put your hands in the air! I'll go easy on you if you tell me where she is!" He shouted and when the robbers didn't, he fired a warning shot. Straight into one of the men's heads.



"He's a maniac!" Toothless hissed in his ear piece.

"Hey Stormfly? I thought you said the police were 20 miles away! How is this one here?!" Astrid half-yelled.

"Look, the police we have on the monitor say they are still 10 minutes away. So you two get down there and blast some shit-"

"language!"


"Shut it Toothless!"

"Before the rest of the police arrive!"

"Come on Astrid, lets do what we came here for. We cant let this man kill more people." He said to Astrid. She noded her head and half opened her wings, her spined tail flicking in preparence for flight.



With a jump, Hiccup dove down yowards the crazy cop and between the almost shootdown. Hiccup made a fist and used the spikes on his knuckles to scratch the robbers face badly.



He heard Astrid let out a stream of fite from her hands and punch someone.




He flew up and turned down where he rolled and landed on the floor. He pulled the gun from the mans hand and and punch him. He knocked him put and pulled him to a pile in the middle with 2 other guys.



The red hair man now held Alvin at gunpoint, And as Astrid and him tied the henchmen up, the police busted open the doors.



He heard Astrid curse and then hiss as lights began flashing. He growled and covered his face with his wing, only to hear a gun being loaded next to his head.



"Not one move demon, or ill shoot." Hiccup stood still and out of the corner of hid eye saw a huge man with a flaming red beard holding a gun to his head.




Just as he was about to make a break for it, the lights got intense and he heard the sound of a women getting through the crowd to reach them.




The man froze and lowered his gun to face the women. Now that he didnt have a gun to his head, he looked around. It seemed the police got there a little faster then they thought they would.



A group was holding down and arresting the leader, Alvin. Astrid was cornered by 5 police officers but they let their guard down as the news reporter approuched.



Asttid quickly moved to his side and open their wings half way in a warning, but the women continued.



"Here it is folks! Our two secret heros that fight crime and keep us safe!" cue a growl from the man with the beard, "these two seem to be also half, lizard or something too."




She turned to him, and hiccup now realized how many prople were watching them, luckily they couldnt see their faces because of their biker style helemts they had on.





"What are your names heros?"





Without a second thought, he answered.


"Nightfury"


"Deadly Nadder." and with thhe fact that they both didn't want to be in the spotlight anymore, flew off.

"Ugg, I feel terrible." Hiccup groaned and threw hid helemt on the table as he pulled off his chest plate, leaveing his green shirt underneath.


"You always feel terrible after a mission, and tonight we just exposed our whole existence to the whole of berk, maybe in the the country!" Astrid said as she pulled of her boots and gloves.



"Well, I didnt plan on the police coming do early." He half growled half grumbled.


Asttid shook her head and rolled her eyes and continued to take off her armour.


"Hey! Hiccup, my man! What happened out there?" Tuffnut asled as he and his sister came in to the storage room where tjeir armour was.


"Yeah H, you two have never been caught, what happened? Cracked under pressure of the cameras?" Ruffnut, the other half of the twins said.


"No Ruff, just the dam police. They got in our way again." Hiccup said as he put up his armour.


"It was that crazy carrot head man." Astrid growled as she stretched after putting her armour up next to Hiccups.



"I wonder who he was looking for?" Fishlegs wondered, talking out for the first time. They all turned to him and nodded.
