***Seventeen years later***
"Jacelyn, come on! We going to be late for school." Alexis yelled. Jacelyn put on her red Polo shirt, high waisted skinny jeans with her red Samoa Adidas. She added her hoop earrings along with her Barbie necklace. She quickly grabbed her iPhone 6 and headed downstairs. "Are you cute enough best friend?" Alexis joked. Jacelyn was checking herself one last time. "No I forgot lip gloss. I be right back." Jacelyn quickly ran back upstairs. That's when Jadien came down. "She still not ready yet?" Jadien asked. Alexis shook her head. Things has been different since Ja'Quan died in the streets. They don't bother to talk about it. Jacelyn rushed back down. "Okay I'm ready to go." She smiled.

They arrived at school few minutes after first period bell rung. Jacelyn immediately spotted Jacques. She been crushing on him since middle school. He was just one year older than her. One more year and he'll graduate. Everyone knew he was currently single but only wanted one girl. That girl was Jacelyn! Jadien hopped out the car to meet up with Jacques. Alexis and Jacelyn followed behind him. "Girl you see Jacques?  He been looking your way since we pulled up." Alexis said. Jacelyn only talked to him once but only because Jadien was strict with her ever since their father abandoned them and never heard from their mother in a while. They were currently staying in Ja'Quan apartment until they get their own. Every now and then, aunt Kendra would come visit them. Years ago, she threatened Jay she'll take custody of them if he didn't back out the game, but apparently he just stayed in. "Wassup JayCee." Jacques said as walking her way. He was 5'7, brown skin with dreads. Every female wanted him but he just rejected them all the time. "Hey Jacques." Jacelyn flirted. Alexis tugged at her best friend. "Jacelyn! Let's go the bell rang." Alexis said. She was so caught up in talking with Jacques that she didn't hear the bell. "I'll see after school JayCee." Jacques said as he walked away.
