"I want to go home"

Aspyn and Taylor had across Europe for the past three months now, the mother and daughter now spending a bit of time in Italy as Taylor had her shows in Milan coming up in the next few days. Taylor and Aspyn had had to say goodbye to Travis a few days ago, which has hard for both the Swift girls. Both Taylor and Aspyn had gotten used to him being around  and both loved the time that they got to spend with him.

Aspyn loved getting to dance and sing with him at the concerts, Travis often helping her put together eras tour inspired outfits just like he had since her first show in Sydney. Aspyn had also loved getting to make friendship bracelets for all of the shows they went too, Aspyn even making special ones for Jason, Kylie and her Grandma and Grandpa when they were all in London.

Taylor had loved getting to watch the relationship between Travis and Aspyn bloom, seeing Aspyn finally find another parental figure being something that Taylor was extremely grateful for. She also loved getting to spend more time and continuing to build her relationship with Travis. All three of them finding a home with one another.

This lead to the evening just two days before the show, both Aspyn and Taylor curled up on the sofa in the hotel room together watching Friends together both of them enjoying the quiet evening.

"Mama?" Aspyn whispered as she looked up at her mom.

"Yeah Pen?"

"I miss Travis." The eleven year old whispered, suddenly beginning to play with her moms fingers. "I miss being at home."

Taylor stayed quiet for a moment taking in what her little girl had just said to her, Taylor was aware how hard touring could be, especially when you are young, but this was the first time Aspyn had ever expressed that she was missing home when they were away for a extended period of time. During the lead up to the European leg of the tour, both Taylor and Aspyn had basically begun living in Kansas City, both of them finding that it almost gave themselves a sense of normalcy back that Taylor hadn't felt in years and it was something that Aspyn had unfortunately never really had a chance to experience.

"I know bubba," Taylor said softly placing a kiss on the top of Aspyn's head. "I miss Trav and home too."

Taylor pulled her eleven year old onto her lap and held her close, just taking a minute to cuddle her.

"Why can't he stay with us? Why did Trav have to leave?" Aspyn asked, her voice starting to shake like she was about to start crying.

"He has commitments too, bubba, just like Mama. He has to start training camp soon for the football season in a few weeks so he needs to prepare for that." Taylor explained softly.

"I want to go home mama." Aspyn whimpered tears now starting to fall.

"How about we call Travis? We can talk to him for a little bit, does that sound alright?" Taylor suggested, hoping that it would make her daughter feel a bit better, but also knowing it would make her feel better too.

Aspyn gave a small nod, which caused Taylor to pick up her phone and start to FaceTime Travis. It only took three rings before he answered the phone, a bright smile appearing on his face as he saw both of his girls together.

"Hey Tay, Hi Penny!" Travis beamed at the mother and daughter, but soon taking note that Aspyn was silently crying in her mom's lap. "Hey, what's going on Pen? Why are you crying, girlie?"

"Come back Travis." Aspyn sobbed, showing just how upset him being away from them was making her. The reaction did shock Taylor a bit, she hadn't ever really seen her daughter this upset before unless it was to do with her dad. It was at that moment everything seemed to click in Taylor's mind. Aspyn sobbed again before speaking. "Please Travis!"
