Taylor Swift and Daughter oneshots

Aspyn: 11-years-old

"Penny! Gracie's here!" Taylor called down the hall to her eleven year old as she welcomed her friend into her home. It was only seconds later that Gracie and Taylor heard the sound of Aspyn running down the hall.

"GRACIE!" Aspyn yelled as she flung herself into the older girls open arms.

Gracie and Aspyn had seemed to click from the first time that Taylor had introduced them, despite the fact that there was a fourteen year age gap between the two of them. Taylor remembered the third time she had invited Gracie around for dinner and to talk about music and maybe even write something together if it came to it, Gracie ended up staying the night because both she and Taylor had been up a lot later then they should have probably been and Taylor didn't want her friend going home in the middle of the night to her apartment. When Gracie went home the following morning Aspyn had asked her mom if Gracie could be her big sister, it was such a wholesome moment that Taylor didn't get a chance to answer properly. So the next time Aspyn saw Gracie she asked her herself, to which Gracie responded with a big yes. From then on Aspyn had referred to Gracie as her big sister and Taylor often made the joke about the fact that sometimes when they were together and Aspyn was with them it felt like she was the parent of two children not just one.

Gracie picked up Aspyn with ease and hugged her tightly, it had been a little while since they had seen one another, and Aspyn had been asking when she would next get to see her 'big sister'. It just so happened that Taylor had needed to go to the recording studio as well as to a few meetings with Tree, all of which she knew her daughter would be bored at and her normal babysitter, Hallie, was out of town at the moment. So Taylor asked Gracie that if there was any chance that she wasn't doing anything and didn't have plans if she would be willing to spend a bit of time with Aspyn. Which Gracie seemed to jump at the chance.

"Now little miss, you be good for Gracie," Taylor said looking at her daughter before turning to look at the twenty three year old. "Feel free to do whatever Gracie, if you want to go out you can, I am sure Pen would love that. But I have left money for food and stuff if you want to go out. Thank you again Gracie."

"Stop thanking me Tay, it isn't a problem. I've missed being around this once since you guys have been in Missouri a lot recently. Now go before you're late!" Gracie laughed, teasing her friend ever so slightly about her boyfriend.

"Okay bye, I love you both!" Taylor said moving towards the door.

"Bye Mama!" Aspyn called after her mom as Gracie said goodbye to Taylor too.

Gracie and Aspyn end up in the music room after Taylor left, Aspyn had her guitar and Gracie was sat at the piano, both of them playing a small melody that they had come up with. Aspyn giggling every so often.

Gracie started humming along to the melody that was being played.

"I love when you sing," Aspyn said after she suddenly stopped playing.

"Thank you, Trouble. On the topic of singing I haven't heard you sing in a while."

Aspyn looked down, the girls mood suddenly changing. Gracie was right she hadn't sung in a while, Aspyn didn't know why she had stopped singing like she used to. Maybe part of it was the constant comparisons to her mom by classmates or people at school telling her she couldn't sing. Or maybe she had just fallen out of love with music. Aspyn wasn't 100% sure but she did kinda miss singing with her mom, or Jack or Gracie or some of her friends.
