He witnesses thousands of lives, stories of heroes and plans of evil. He knew everything, yet never fully grasped the concept of everything. So strange, how one could say everything. Everything is not only objects, as someone might imagine. Everything is also people. He supposed the word 'everything' only applied to things made of matter, things that had substance- but everything could also apply to emotions or to concepts: Such as love, thoughts, and ideas.
Everything could be categorized into many different substances, though so many things crossed the boundaries. Nothing truly is completely and fully matter, and not every idea is completely and fully a concept. Nothing truly is fully black or fully white, there is simply darker and lighter shades of gray. If you took everything and sorted it out into a scale of matter to not matter, there would be a fuzzy line in between where things slowly became concepts. Therefore, neither pile could truly be fully themselves unless you discarded the fuzzy grey lines. This is where XD lived: In the third, uncategorized pile: The one he dubbed the 'In between'.
As far as he knew, he was the only being- the only sentient being- in the in between. He threaded past dissovling cities, whose existence mingled with that of another form- Enough people had wondered of its existence for so long, even after their sun exploded and time passed over their old, scorched home- The building istelf questioned its existence. Thousands of docile souls passed by, unaware of where they were as they blankly walked around, in no control of their bodies. These were the thousands of the dead souls who questioned their existence. Or, the souls that had been created by another, then discarded to the sands of time.
Everything was not fully matter or concept. XD was a perfect balance of both. Technically, he was God. Though, he was a real person, too. Everything was so confusing. So, until XD would understand, he'd wander the planes of the thousands of universes, or rather, focus on one particular one that caught his eye. Of all the universes, this was the only one he could somewhat affect. In this one, he could affect the percentages of how likely things were to happen. By a very small number, of course, but this was still the first time he had been able to do anything. He had played a part in Dross finding Dream's universe. XD reckoned that the reason he could affect them was because he was eerily similar to them.
He didn't want to fray their universe too much, though. Frayed universes had... Oddities. XD was never against bloodshed, but he didn't like the idea of a small percentage of everything dying. See, every universe has a potential to split into another universe. Exact duplicates of universes merge with them, and until something different happens- Even so small as choosing something else for breakfast- Causes the universe to fray. Of course, this was a rare occurrence: It only happens if someone from a different dimension travels to a new one.
Or, if he messed with it. XD had nowhere near the power of God. If he manifested in this universe, no one would see him. He would be invisible, but he could affect the world around them. The smaller something was, the more likely he could change its percentage of likeliness to do something. And the more sentient something was, the more difficult it was to change its percentage of likeliness. So, XD could make a rock float, but he could not make the whole earth crumble.Could he change Everything? Forget about it. If any being had such power, and had the mental capabilities to understand it, then... Everything was as good as dead.
