Dross (Pillow) POV

"Where the fuck is George??" Dream looked up. "I'm... Not sure. He left to go on a walk a bit ago. Why?" Dross shrugged. "I don't know. I was thinking about Spore and- Well, I remembered George." Dream hesitated. "He's probably fine. Let's give him time to come back. If he's not back in... Say, ten minutes we can go look for him." Dross chewed her lip. "Okay, if you say so."

Dross walked out and then she felt hands wrap around her waist. She glanced down to see Spore with her face burrowed into her back. Dross smirked. Spore said nothing. "...Spore..." Spore grunted. "Pillow." Dross raised her eyebrows. "What?" "You are a pillow now, pillow."

Dross grinned. "Pillow, get in th' bed since I'm sleepy." Dross followed Spore to the bedroom. The bed had a whole mountain of pillows on it. Dross raised an eyebrow. "Why would you need me when you have all these other pillows?" Spore shoved them all off the bed. "You're th' only comfy pillow." Dross laughed and flopped onto the bed, then Spore flopped of top of her. Dross laughed softly. "Shhh. Pillows don' laugh."

Dross slightly wheezed, but tried to stay quiet. "Spore, I have stuff to do." Spore cracked an eye, glancing at her. "Pillows don' have stuff to do. Pillows have 3 jobs: Be quiet, hold still, an' let people sleep on them. The first two, you are failing at." Dross remained silent. After some time Spore had obviously fallen asleep.

Some time later Dream walked in. "George still isn- Oh... Sorry." Dross shifted slightly. "Yeah, can you try and find George yourself first? I've been repurposed as a pillow." Dream smiled. "Of course."

With that, he silently made his way out of the room, humming his weird song as he left. Dross sighed, then reached her hand into Spore's hair and began playing with it to pass the time.

Dross was a good pillow.

Dream Pov

Dream walked outside and summoned some green strings. hundreds of them appeared before merging into one giant extremely thicc rope. Dream took off in that direction, and when he got close to the trees he leaped up, then climbed to the top of one. He began running atop the trees silently, and finally George came into view. Sapnap and Bad were there, too, and Dream shot to the ground in alarm.

Before the three even had time to look at Dream, Dream scooped George up gently but swiftly, his tail curling around George as he narrowed his eyes defensively. Bad raised his arms in a sign of peace. "Sorry, did we do something wrong? We didn't mean to endanger your boyfriend, we were simply apologizing for... Well, trying to kill him."

Dream's gave no hint at emotion in his gaze or body language. His voice was calm and level, but his eyes glared mistrustfully at Bad, though they wouldn't know past the mask. "I appreciate the gesture of acknowledging your error." Bad nodded slightly. "Well, that's not fully true. Errors are slight mistakes. And this is a big one. This is a failure on our part not only in trust, but for friends and furthermore brothers."

Dream hummed slightly, still showing no emotion. "This is a lot more than a failure, that's true." George looked up at Dream. "I've forgiven them. They aren't going to hurt me anymore." "How are you sure of that?" George stared up at them. "Same way you trust anyone. You really don't know if they'll stab you in the back, but you trust they won't."

Dream shook his head. "That's not good enough." George stared up at Dream with his brown eyes. Dream met his gaze, his serious demeanor faltering. George always got what he wanted when he stared at Dream like that. "Dream, at least give them a chance." Dream hesitated. "Dream, please?"
