~1989~
Midnights had taken me out to grab some food and we were on our way up the stairs to our room when Midnights stopped.

"Ugh, my stomach is gonna explode if I move another inch!" she exclaimed and threw her hands over her stomach.

"Oh come on, Mids, it's just a few more steps," I said and rolled my eyes, pretending to be annoyed. Midnights looked at her hands and groaned.

"If I throw up, I'm doing it on you!" she said loudly as she took another step.

As we got to the door to our room I was sure I heard something inside. I turned to Midnights, who seemed distracted by someone talking downstairs. "Did you hear that?" I asked her and she quickly turned to me, looking confused. "I thought I heard something inside," I said and she turned to the door, a mix of fright and confusion on her face.

"Uh, let's go, it's probably nothing!" she said, sounding like she was trying to convince herself more than me. "Or it's Debs snooping around again," she continued and shrugged.

She pushed the door open quickly and looked inside. Then she bounced backwards, shrieking in surprise. In the room were folklore and rep, stood next to each other with their hands behind their backs, smiling awkward, guilty smiles at us.

"What the fuck," said Midnights quietly, taking a deep breath. "You scared the shit out of me, guys." She held a hand on her chest trying to calm herself down from the scare. I put a hand on my girlfriends back assuring her she was okay.

"What are you doing in our room?" I asked and looked at the two girls. I wasn't mad, but I must've looked it, the expression on my face stone cold.

"I needed to borrow some makeup and I thought me and you are pretty much the same shade..." said rep apologetically. "Sorry."

"Is that what's behind your back?" I asked her and her eyes flickered to folklore before they both quickly nodded and looked down.

I sighed and looked at Midnights. "If you show me what you're taking so I know, you can go ahead," I said. They both kept their heads down which made Midnights give me a suspicious look. "Alright show me your hands," I said and crossed my arms. They stood completely still, staring at the floor.

"You're not gonna be able to get out of here without showing us what it is, so you might as well just do it," said Midnights, who was now leaning against the door frame looking annoyed.

The girls exchanged a long look before both looking at us and pulling their hands out. My eyes grew as I saw the items in their hands and I covered my mouth. "What the hell!" I screamed and stepped into the room, slamming the door behind me. I heard Midnights make a surprised sound behind me as the door closed with a loud bang, but I didn't look back.

I walked up to folklore and reputation and shoved them both backwards. Then I grabbed the things they were holding and started walking over to the closet. "What the fuck do I do with these now..."  I thought to myself as I went.

"Nine, stop!" yelled Midnights firmly as she stepped back into the room. She walked over and grabbed me by the shoulders. I groaned as I tried to worm my way out of her tight grip. She spun me around and looked down at my hands. I watched as her expression turned from anger, to shock, to sadness. "What is this, huh?" she asked loudly and shook me slightly. "Why the fuck do you have these?" she continued and grabbed for the items in my hands. I didn't know what to do, except let her.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered quietly. My eyes swelled with tears as I thought about how disappointed Midnights must be in me, and how disappointed I was in myself.

"1989, please, talk to us," said folklore and smiled warmly. I fell to my knees, caught by my girlfriend, and sat there for a minute sobbing in her arms.
