Narrator's POV
It had been a few hours after they had managed to get off the island of Samsara Motu and also found the Sundrop Flower as everyone was back on the road again and continued on their quest. Right now, Draco was sitting on the bed as he was reading a dragon story that he loved as a child.
The Fable of the Dragon Tyrant
He was in the middle of the book when both Ally and Vee came over with the Mo and Ender too. "Hey Draco, whatcha reading?" Vee asked curiously and this made Draco look up from the book and smiled before replying "I'm reading a story uncle Tang used to read to me when I was a kid" and Ally looks at the book cover before asking with an eyebrow raised "The Fable of the Dragon Tyrant?".
Draco nods as he said "Yep! This was my favorite bedtime story when I was little and I still read it to this day" and this got the two girls interested as they asked in unison "Can you read it to us?!" and this surprised Draco before nodding his head and gestures the girls to sit next to him, which they did along with Ender and Mo getting comfortable too as Kirby, who noticed something was happening and quickly came over and rested on Draco's shoulder. Mei and Ao Bing both noticed this before deciding to listen as well as Draco opened the book and began reading the story.
"Once upon a time, a dragon tyrannized the kingdom. Covered with thick black scales, its eyes glowed with hate, and from its terrible jaws flowed evil-smelling slime. Some tried to fight the dragon..."
A Few Moments Later
"Thousands of voices of joy rose from the masses, joined seconds later by a deafening drawn-out thud from the collapsing monster. After all this time, humanity was at last free from the dragon" Draco continued reading the book as Ally, Vee, Ender, Mo, Kirby, Ao Bing and Mei were all still listening in awe and amazement by the story.
"The joy cry resolved into a jubilating chant: "Long live the king! Long live us all!" The royal entourage, huddling in the downpour, accumulated around their monarch. So much had changed in the last hour. The right to an open future had been regained, a primordial fear abolished, and many long-held assumptions overturned. "What do we do now?" they asked. "We have come a long way. . ." said the king, "yet now we are like children again. The future lies open before us. We shall go and try to do better than we have done in the past, for we have time now... time to get things right, time to grow up, time to learn from our mistakes. Let all the bells in the kingdom ring until midnight, in remembrance of our dead. Then after, we will celebrate and begin the process of building a better world. . . for we have time now." The End" Draco finished the story as he closed the book.
Ally, Vee, Mei and Kirby had stars in their eyes as they all exclaimed "Wow/Pooteetah!!" and while Ao Bing was intrigued by the story. "That was the best story I've ever heard, big brother Draco!" Vee says in amazement while Mei went over and side-hugs her boyfriend before giving him a kiss on the cheek and said "That was an amazing story, babe" and this made Draco blush at his girlfriend's affection as both Ally and Vee 'awed' at this while Ao Bing silently gagged at his cousin and crush's brother lovey-dovey moment. This made Kirby giggle while both Ender and Mo shook their heads in amusement as Vee suddenly said to the dragon prince "But, aren't you gonna be like that to big sister Funneh when you and her get together, big brother prince Ao Bing?" and this made Ao Bing stiff as a blush appeared on his face before laughter was heard, causing him to look over and sees Funneh laughing along with her sisters, Aphmau and Mk as Macaque was telling them something with Monkey King looking a little irritated while Adira was watching on the sideline with amusement.
Seeing Funneh with a smile on her face, this made Ao Bing have a soft expression on his face before he felt some stares and turned around to see Mei, Draco, Ally and Vee all smirked, making the dragon prince blush even more before quickly covering his face and this caused the group to laugh at his expression while the spider goons were watching as they were wondering what the group were talking about and then suddenly a thought came into Spider Queen's mind as she called out to Draco.
