I laid my head in Geneva's lap as she massaged my scalp.  She's been out the hospital , a few days now and hasn't really wanted to talk about what happened to her.

I rested my hand on her leg.

Geneva - get off

She pushed me.

Kit - FUCK IS YOU P- I'm sorry.

The nurses told me to be patient with her  and that I should refrain from initiating sex or touching her because it might trigger her.

Geneva - I thought you- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you.

Kit - you good baby

Geneva-  you seem kind of frustrated .

Kit - it's just different. I can't really touch you or have sex.

Geneva - is that all you care about?

Kit - obviously I love you Geneva. I don't just care about sex when it comes to you.

Geneva - but it's something that we lack now because of me. Kit , if you want to leave me g-

Kit - where I'm going? I'm not leaving

Geneva  kissed me. She pulled away.

Kit - Gen you scared me when you went in the hospital. I promise I will never neglect you again.

Geneva  nodded.

Kit - I know you don't believe me but I'm serious and I'll show you.

Gen- gonna be kind of difficult with you going to meetings and doing runs at all hours of the night.

Kit -  Geneva I-

Gen - I'll believe it when I see it Christopher.

She turned over on her side.

Kit - I feel like you're trying to blame me for what happened to you. I didn't tell you to move back in your old house. You did that on your own.

Gen - because you were neglecting me. 

Kit - that's not fair. Gen you know I'm working a lot

Gen - why can't you get a normal job? Every night I have to worry about you and if you're dead or not

Kit -  I'm fine

Gen - you could be gone tomorrow Christopher

Kit - I'll always find my way back to you Geneva

Gen - I think I should go

She got up and I grabbed her arm.

Kit - what you leaving for?

Gen - Kit I don't -

Kit - lay back down.

She sat down on the bed.

Kit - I can promise you, I won't leave you. We ain't been together that long but I know that I wanna be with you.

Geneva Emerson

Kit kissed my hand.

Kit - I'll do better. I ain't never met somebody like you and I'll do my damnedest  to keep you safe.

Gen - I love you

Kit - I love you too

Kit held me in his arms .

Kit - you know I'm not proud of what I had to do. He deserved it, I couldn't let him walk free and he violated you like that. That's how much I love you Geneva.

I nodded.

Geneva - would you come to work with me tomorrow

Kit - of course baby.

Geneva - don't just say yeah because you want me to make you something

Kit - I'm not

He smiled

His phone rang. He looked at it then looked at me.

Gen - go ahead

He answered then grabbed his jacket.

He quickly kissed me and walked out.

I'll sighed to myself. I just hope he comes back in one piece.
