I woke up to banging on the door , waking me and Geneva up. I sat up seeing blue and red lights flashing through the windows. I got up and grabbed my gun out the night stand drawer.

Geneva - why are the police here?

I sighed and looked at Geneva.

Geneva - what did you do?

Kit - I'm sorry I lied to you. I'm still selling drugs baby. I just needed-

She put her hand up and got up.

She went downstairs.

I followed behind her.

I opened the door.

Officer - Christopher Walker, you're under arrest for drug trafficking, the murder of Da'Quan Sikver , and the possession of illegal firearms.

They forcefully pushed me to the ground and cuffed me.

Geneva - I can't believe I trusted you.

Kit - honey I'm sorry

Geneva - you're not. You lied.

The officer took me away and I stared Geneva down and she bawled her eyes out.

A few months later

I walked into the visitation room and saw Geneva holding Gianni on the other side of the glass.  I didn't get to go to the birth , being that I was locked up.

I sat down and picked up the phone.

Kit - hey

Geneva - hey

Kit - how have you been?

Geneva - exhausted.

Kit - he looks just like-

Geneva - we're moving. I'm taking the baby and moving away.

Kit - what- Neva I thought-

Geneva - there are people showing up to my house and I don't feel safe and my main concern is keeping Gianni safe Christopher.  I'm just letting you see him before we go. Don't try contacting me or looking for me either. I just want to raise our son and be left alone.

Kit - IM HIS FATHER , YOU CAN'T DO THAT

Geneva - you're also locked up.

Kit - GEN  PLEASE. IM SORRY

Geneva - I'm sorry but enough is enough. You need to wake up.

I jumped up out my sleep , scaring  Geneva, who looked terrified.  She had the phone on her hand.

Geneva  - you scared me idiot. I almost called your mom.

Kit - had a nightmare about the baby.

Geneva - what happened

Kit - don't want to get into it,

Geneva - you shouldn't worry , the baby is healthy and I'm doing fine

I nodded and she kissed me.

I just feel guilty that I've been lying to her. I don't want to lose the only good thing in my life right now.

Kit - you want to go out tomorrow

Geneva - sure where?

Kit - it's a surprise

She cheesed hard.

Geneva - what should I wear?

Kit - whatever you want

I'll just have to man up and confess because I can't have my lie put her and the baby is harm's way.
