I woke up to hearing Gianni crying. I got up and threw on my robe and next door to his room and saw Ruiz holding  him.

Geneva - what are you d-

Ruiz - relax dulce , I heard him crying so I came in here to quiet him down.

He gave Gianni to me.

Ruiz - he's not hungry or anything , he just-

I glared at him and put Gianni back in the crib once he went back to sleep.

Ruiz  looked at me.

Ruiz - you know you really intrigued me.  You really don't trust me when I say I won't hurt you .

Geneva -  you're a creepy middle aged man who kidnapped me and my baby

Ruiz - Kit kidnapped you too and you had a child with him. So what's your point sweetness.

Geneva - How do you know Hassan?

Ruiz - he's my nephew. His mom is my sister. Haven't spoken to my family in years because they don't like the work I do.

Geneva - Hassan does the same thing-

Ruiz - he lies to then

Geneva - thank you for checking on him

Ruiz - no problem.

I walked out and went outside to the backyard and he followed me leaving the patio door open and lit a cigar.

Geneva - you shouldn't smoke that

Ruiz didn't look at me , he just continued smoking his cigar. I rolled my eyes.

Ruiz - you know sweetheart, Kit isn't a bad guy

Geneva - I know that. Why are you telling me that?

Ruiz - because you look like you've checked out of that relationship. You look at that baby and you get upset.

Geneva - because he's a liar

Ruiz - Have you not lied to him?

Geneva - not about something that could put him at risks. Where is he anyway?

Ruiz - Colombia. Makes it easier for me to keep an eye on him because I have so many eyes down there watching him.

Geneva - you had people watch my house

Ruiz - that doesn't mean I was going to have it shot up. Just to make sure Kit didn't run off.

Geneva - I have a question?

Ruiz - okay

Geneva - why'd you never get married or have kids?

Ruiz - my lifestyle

Geneva - so you know it's not right and want me to stay with Kit

Ruiz - it wouldn't be in your best interest. I don't have kids because I never found the right woman. Yes , I know this line of work is dangerous for families but , it's really not any more good women that aren't gold diggers.

Geneva - maybe look elsewhere

He looked at me and smiled.

Geneva - what you looking at me like that for?

Ruiz - nothing dulce

Geneva - good

Ruiz - you love him , don't you?

I didn't answer.

Ruiz - it's not a bad thing that you-

Geneva - I love him but something has to give.

Ruiz - I see

He put his cigar out.

Ruiz -  good night sweetness

He bent down beside me and kissed my cheek , walking back in the house.

I smiled. I do find Ruiz attractive , but I know deep down despite what I say and my actions , I love Kit despite his faults b he I know his actions can harm our family so I want to stay away from him.
