"Cold-That's all I felt when I woke up. I wasn't a human anymore," Jungkook hesitantly continued. "It was like my entire existence was a lie; I was supposed to be dead, would have been better that way."

Hana sighed in frustration. It killed her to see Jungkook feeling so low about himself. Although, there was one thing that confused Hana. If Jungkook was a vampire, shouldn't he be a monster without emotions? So far, all she had seen was a considerate bunny.

"It was the worst feeling ever," Jungkook was starting to tear up. "When I took my first breath as a vampire, I knew I wasn't a human anymore. I was afraid - of myself, of what I've become. Father was the first person I saw, and he looked at me as I was something very precious," He said with disgust. "Only if I knew," he snickered, "but at that time, he was the only one I could trust. He taught me everything- how to feed, kill, lead, how to be a monster. He wanted me to become him, his successor." Jungkook laughed mockingly, And the funny thing is that I did become him. I killed innocent people regularly to quench my selfish needs. I was starting to become the monster that he wanted me to be.

Hana griped Jungkook's hand reassuringly. Jungkook looked down at her and smiled genuinely. Then you came into my life, he said softly. Hana burrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "I still remember clear as day; it was a month before I took over father's seat as the vampire king," there was a slight smile on his lips. I was all nervous and scared because it was a big responsibility. My sole focus was to follow in his footsteps and become the monster he was. I lost all other purposes and will to live. But then I met you. Perhaps it was an accident or perhaps it was fate, but it made me want to live again and become less like a monster.

Hana gripped Jungkook's hand reassuringly, her heart aching for him. Jungkook looked down at her and smiled genuinely. "Then you came into my life," he said softly.

Hana furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean you met me?" she asked, feeling both nervous and intrigued.

Jungkook's eyes softened as he remembered. "I still remember it as clear as day; it was in the late 1800s, a time when everything seemed different yet the same," he began, a slight smile playing on his lips. "I was all nervous and scared because it was a big responsibility. My sole focus was to follow in his footsteps and become the monster he was. I had lost all other purposes and will to live. But then I met you. Perhaps it was an accident, or perhaps it was fate, but it made me want to live again and become less like a monster."

Hana's heart skipped a beat. "But how? I don't remember meeting you before."

Jungkook chuckled softly. "Of course, you wouldn't. That was your first life. You were living in a small village, and I was wandering aimlessly one night, struggling with my thoughts, when I saw you. You were different, even then. So full of life and kindness, you helped everyone around you. I watched you for a while, feeling something stir within me that I hadn't felt in a long time—hope."

Hana's eyes widened. "You mean, all this time, you've been watching over me? Even in my past life?"

Hana's eyes widened. "You mean, all this time, you've been watching over me? Even in my past life?"

Jungkook nodded, his gaze distant as he recalled the memories. "Yes. I watched over you, protecting you from the shadows. At first, it was just curiosity, but as time passed, I couldn't help but grow fond of you. You were so full of life and kindness, helping everyone around you. You were a beacon of light in my otherwise dark existence."

He paused, his eyes softening with the warmth of those memories. "We grew closer over time. You didn't know what I was, but you saw something in me that no one else did. You treated me with kindness and compassion, and I started to believe that maybe I could be more than just a monster. Slowly, I fell in love with you."

Hana's heart ached as she listened, the depth of Jungkook's feelings washing over her. "What happened then?" she asked softly.

Jungkook's expression darkened, a shadow passing over his face. "There was an accident," he said, his voice heavy with sorrow. "I tried to save you, but I was too late. You were gone before I could reach you. The pain was unbearable, but I didn't let myself go back to my old ways. The love you showed me had changed me too much. I couldn't become the monster my father wanted me to be."

He looked at Hana, his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and hope. "I thought maybe my mother had sent you into my life to save me. To remind me of what it meant to be human, to feel love and compassion. After losing you, I held onto that belief. It kept me going, even when I felt like I couldn't go on."

Hana felt tears welling up in her eyes. "You must have been so heartbroken," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Jungkook squeezed her hand, his grip firm and reassuring. "I was. I've been lonely and broken all these years, waiting for you to come back. The world felt empty without you, but I never gave up hope. And now, seeing you again, it's like a second chance. I won't lose you again, Hana."

They sat at the edge of a tranquil lake, the soft glow of the moon casting a silver shimmer across its surface. The air was fragrant with the scent of blooming flowers, and the gentle rustling of leaves added a serene soundtrack to the night. The distant chirping of crickets provided a comforting rhythm, blending harmoniously with the quiet whispers of the breeze.

As they sat there, a small rustle broke the silence. Remi, their loyal wolf

companion, trotted over and, with a playful bounce, leapt into Jungkook's lap. With a flicker of ease, the large wolf shrank to the size of a puppy, curling up comfortably. Jungkook chuckled softly, scratching Remi behind the ears. "Oh, now you remember me, little traitor?" he teased, his voice light and affectionate.

Hana giggled, the sound blending perfectly with the night. She rested her head on Jungkook's shoulder, feeling a deep sense of contentment. Their eyes met, and for a moment, it felt as if time had stopped. In each other's gaze, they found solace and a sense of belonging. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring them together, right here, right now. The weight of their pasts seemed lighter, and the bond they shared felt unbreakable.

"This feels right," Hana murmured. "Like this is where we belong."

Jungkook nodded, his eyes softening. "Together," he agreed.

But as they basked in this newfound sense of unity, an unspoken tension lingered in the air. The shadows outside seemed to whisper of dangers yet to come, a looming threat that hung over them like a dark cloud. They both knew that their journey was far from over, and the path ahead would be fraught with challenges.

For now, though, they held onto this moment of peace, drawing strength from each other and the bond they had forged. Whatever the future held, they would face it together.
