Mikha's POV

We're still sharing the same earpods and listening to the same music as we go to the library to read some of our books. Our sitting arrangement is Colet, Me, Aiah, and Jho, while Maloi, Stacey, Sheena, and Gwen are in front of us. While reading, I noticed Aiah was a bit distracted by the music, so I decided to turn it down, but she signaled me to play it back, so I did.

After reading, we headed to our room, and I was about to sit on my seat when Sheena approached me. "Mikhs, tara may sasabihin ako" she said, calling me, so I went to her, who's a bit far away because she's in the first row of the classroom while our seat is in the last row.

"Why? Something bothering you, She?" I said curiously and worriedly inside.

"Hindi, wala naman, ano kasi mikhs" she said, scratching the back of her head.

"What?" I asked her.

"Palit tayo chair, hehe" she said, smiling at me like crazy.

"Why?" I said confused.

"Gusto ko kasi katabi si bebe, sige na mikhs" she added, holding both of my shoulders and shaking me nonstop.

"Fine, oo, na. Stop that" I said, holding both of her hands to make her stop shaking me.

"Yeheyy! Thank you, mikhs" she said, smiling at me and running towards my seat to sit beside Gwen. I shook my head and went to her seat to settle because I needed to read some of the pages I had missed earlier.

I sat down in Sheena's seat when I realized Sheena's chair was beside Aiah's chair. So Aiah and I are seat mates for today. What a way to be motivated!

While reading, I noticed Aiah's hand in my armchair, as if she's giving something, so I looked at her.

"Suot mo to" she said, and she gave me one of her earbuds.

"Thank you" I mouthed, and I smiled at her. She nodded at me and smiled back at me, so I continued reading our textbook.

After awhile, our teacher arrived. I gave her earbuds back and told the girls to get ready for the recitation.

"As I told you last Wednesday, we will have group graded recitations today in our general biology subject. I told your president, Ms. Lim, to announce the groups in the class while I was away last Thursday" Ms. Salvador said.

"But today I'll announce once again the groups to check the attendance because participation is a must in a group recitation" she added.

Group A1
Ms. Lim Mikhaela
Ms. Vergara Nicolette
Ms. Apuli Gweneth
Ms. Ricalde Maloi

"Who's your desired leader for this group recitation?" Ms. Salvador said, and the three girls pointed at me like they were saying that they wanted me to be their group leader. And Ms. Salvador nodded in approval.

Group A2
Ms. Arceta Maraiah
Ms. Robles Jhoanna
Ms. Catacutan Sheena
Ms. Sevilleja Stacey

"Who's your desired leader for this group recitation?" Ms. Salvador said.

"Arceta po ms" the girls said in unison.

Ms. Salvador announced the last 4 groups, and we started to talk about our general bio topics to refresh what we reviewed earlier. After awhile, Ms. Salvador told us to settle down because we'd start.

"Give me the definition of characteristics of life" Ms. Salvador said, and I knew the answer, so I pressed our buzzer.

"Ms. Maraiah Arceta and Ms. Athena Reynolds press your buzzers in 3.. 2.. 1.." she said and started counting because Aiah and Athena pressed the buzzer at the same time.

"Ms. Reynolds, answer" Ms. Salvador said, and I looked at Aiah, who's already disappointed because she missed one question. Her gaze went in my direction, so I smiled at her to motivate her.

"Uhm, characteristics of life are order, sensitivity, etc., po, Ms." Athena said and smiled at me. I ignored her smile and turned my gaze back to Aiah, who's now looking at me, so I just shrugged, telling her I don't know why Athena smiled at me. And I signaled for her to steal the answer.

"You got it wrong, Ms. Reynolds. You can steal now, Ms. Arceta" Ms. Salvador said.

"Life's characteristics are cellular organization, reproduction, metabolism, homeostasis, heredity, response to stimuli, growth and development, and adaptation through evolution" Aiah said, reciting the characteristics of life.

"Very good, Arceta" Ms. Salvador said, clapping her hands.

"Define cellular organization" Ms. Salvador said, so I quickly pressed our buzzer, but a boy named Troy pressed their buzzer at the same time as me.

"Okay, Ms. Lim and Mr. Salvatore, press your buzzers in 3.. 2.. 1.." she said and started counting.

"Okay, Mr. Salvatore, answer."

I heard Collet say, "Aruy naunahan, manliligaw ni Aiah yan e. Nakita ko kagabi hinahanap si Aiah."

"Who? That Salvatore?" I asked Colet curiously.

"Yep. but Aiah's not home daw sabi ni Tita, so he left last night" she said, explaining what she knows.

"Uh. Cellular organization explains that all living things are composed of one or more cells." He answered the question. His answer is quite correct, but Ms. Salvador said define, so it's not that good.

"Good, but you just pointed out the explanation" Ms. Salvador said.

"Any additional answer, Ms. Lim?" she asked me.

"Cellular organization is the components that make up the cell and how they are arranged inside it. Each component, called an organelle, performs a specific function vital for the cell. This page will explore the basic functional components of the cell and cell shape and size." I said and looked at Aiah, who's looking at me while smiling.

"This simply means that living things are made of cells. Cells are the most basic unit of life. It doesn't matter if those cells are plants, animals, fungi, or bacteria. If something is going to be alive, it must be made of cells" I added, still looking at Aiah, who's smiling at me, so I smiled back at her. Oh, what a way to be motivated.

"Perfect, Ms. Lim" Ms. Salvador said while clapping.

"I'm not threatened. I'm smarter" I said to Colin.

"Palaban, kaya boto ako sayo e" Colet said and chuckled.
