An Unwelcome Return

As Jungkook and Hoseok stepped into the grand foyer of the Jeon mansion, they were met with a sight that made their hearts skip a beat. Hewoon's face was contorted in a scowl, her eyes blazing with anger. Jungkook's heart sank, his mind racing with the impending doom that awaited him.

But to his surprise, he felt a flicker of happiness ignite within him. He was glad to see Hewoon's anger, glad that she was finally showing her true colors. He exchanged a knowing glance with Hoseok, who seemed to share his sentiments.

Grandpa Jeon's warm voice broke the tension, "Did you guys enjoy your day?"

Jungkook forced a smile, "Yes, Grandpa, a lot." His voice was laced with a hint of sarcasm, but Grandpa Jeon didn't seem to notice.

Grandpa Jeon's eyes twinkled with excitement, "Good, good. Tae bear didn't come with you for dinner?"

Jungkook shook his head, "No, he didn't."Did he have dinner with you guys every day? He couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. He had grown fond of Taehyung's company and had been looking forward to spending more time with him.

Grandma Jeon chimed in, her voice warm and soothing, "Yes, because your grandpa won't be at peace till he eats with Tae." She smiled at Jungkook, her eyes filled with a deep understanding.

Hewoon's anger was palpable, her eyes flashing with irritation. She remained silent, her gaze fixed on Jungkook with a venomous intensity. The family ignored her, their dislike for her evident. They tolerated her only because of Jungkook's father, and the tension was palpable.

As they made their way to the dining table, the atmosphere was strained. Hewoon's silence was deafening, her anger hanging over them like a dark cloud. Jungkook tried to engage in conversation, but she refused to respond.

Taehyung's arrival was a welcome respite, his bright smile and cheerful demeanor a balm to their frayed nerves. They sat down to eat, the food delicious but the conversation stilted.

Hewoon's anger simmered just below the surface, her eyes flashing with irritation. She didn't dare explode in front of Grandpa Jeon, but her tension was palpable.
