Hi! It's Kara, and this is my third chapter of having a crush.
Now it's Cedric, my senior in secondary school. He's tall, quiet, and a sports person. I saw him laugh at orientation, and it felt like eternity (I know, totally cringe, right?). We joined the art club together, but all I could do was watch him from afar. It was like he was this beautiful painting that I could admire but never touch. My heart would race every time he walked into the room, and I'd secretly hope for any chance to talk to him.
After Cedric had a school project with Kyan, my brother, he started showing up at my house. It was surreal. Cedric, the guy I couldn't stop thinking about, was suddenly a regular presence in my home. He would go straight to Kyan's room, and they'd hang out, play video games, and then head out to play basketball. Sometimes, I'd hear his laughter echoing down the hallway, making my heart ache with longing.
I felt like I couldn't approach him. He was Kyan's classmate, and I didn't want to embarrass myself, especially since he was such a pain. Kyan had a knack for teasing and making situations awkward, and the last thing I wanted was for him to find out about my crush on Cedric. I wanted a peaceful life, but my heart was anything but peaceful. I'd sit in my room, pretending to read or do homework, all the while hoping for a glimpse of Cedric as he walked by.
I tried to stop these feelings, but they never ended. Every time I saw him, my heart would skip a beat. I felt silly, like I was living in some teenage romance novel. But no matter how hard I tried to focus on other things, Cedric always crept back into my thoughts.
It wasn't until I met Wolfgang that things started to change. Wolfgang was different—another crush, but this one was exceptional. Meeting him was like a breath of fresh air, a new chapter in my life that promised excitement and maybe, just maybe, a little bit of peace for my heart. Hahaha.
