Y/N had been avoiding König all week, burying herself in the routine of drills and patrols to distract from the warmth that spread through her whenever his name was mentioned. She knew better than to entertain thoughts of him—fraternization was strictly forbidden, especially in the heat of their deployment.

Yet fate seemed determined to test their resolve. As dusk settled over the base, casting long shadows across the hardened barracks, Y/N found herself alone with König in the makeshift armory. The air was thick with the scent of gun oil and anticipation, the tension between them palpable.

König leaned against a stack of crates, his gaze intense as it bore into Y/N's. She could feel the weight of his stare, a silent question lingering in the air between them. They had fought side by side, trusted each other with their lives, and yet this unspoken longing threatened to unravel the fragile fabric of their camaraderie.

"Y/N," König's voice was barely a whisper, the edge of his accent softening the syllables of her name. "We can't keep avoiding this."

Y/N's heart pounded in her chest, her hands trembling as she struggled to find the words that would not betray her feelings. She knew the risks—they both did. But in the quiet solitude of this moment, the rules that governed their world seemed distant and inconsequential.

Without warning, König closed the distance between them, his hand gentle yet insistent as it brushed against her cheek. Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her resolve faltering under the weight of his touch.

Suddenly, their lips crashed onto each other with a desperate kiss, each one tugging the other to get closer. Breaths hitched and planets collided. Finally.

As they pulled away, their breaths mingling in the space between them, König's eyes searched hers, his expression a mix of regret and longing. "Y/N," he murmured, his voice strained with emotion, "I wish..."

But before he could finish, the sound of approaching footsteps shattered the fragile sanctuary they had carved out for themselves. They broke apart, hearts racing and minds reeling from the intensity of what had happened just before.

Y/N met König's gaze one last time, a silent promise passing between them—an acknowledgment of the forbidden, yet undeniable, connection that now bound them together in ways neither could fully comprehend.

Y/N sat on the edge of her bunk in the dimly lit dormitory, her thoughts swirling like a storm in her mind. She scribbled furiously in a worn notebook, trying to capture the whirlwind of emotions that had consumed her since that forbidden kiss with König. The weight of their shared moment hung heavy in the air, a secret she feared both losing and keeping.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Charlie bounded into the room with all the energy of youth. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of Y/N hunched over her notebook, a mixture of surprise and curiosity flickering across her face.

"Y/N! Guess what?" Charlie exclaimed, barely pausing for breath as she crossed the room in a flurry of movement. "Captain Price said we might get a day off soon! Can you believe it?"

Y/N blinked, momentarily pulled from her turbulent thoughts by Charlie's infectious enthusiasm. She closed her notebook with a quick, almost guilty motion, tucking it away as she met Charlie's gaze with a forced smile.

"That's great news, Charlie," Y/N replied, her voice betraying none of the turmoil within. She stood up, smoothing out imaginary wrinkles from her uniform as she tried to compose herself. "We'll have to wait and see what happens."

Charlie nodded eagerly, oblivious to the tension that still lingered in the air. "I hope we get to go outside the base," she continued, bouncing on the balls of her feet. "Maybe we could explore the town nearby!"
