Aylin was in her room looking at some pictures online of places back in her old world museums, parks, and malls now in an area similar yet different from hers. Aylin shook her head and looked at the window where the sun was shining.
Aylin: hmmm
Deciding to take a walk outside and release some stress. In the living room Chris, Trails, Amy, Cream, and Cheese are gathered around Chuck who is holding a letter and reading it.
Chuck: "You are cordially invited to a black-tie charity ball." Hm... sounds interesting.
Chris: It's addressed to Sonic and Aylin but it says right there he can bring as many friends as he wants!
Chuck: Well, then, in that case, I say we dust off our best party duds and make it a date!
Everyone in the room cheers
Amy: I bet they'll serve lots of yummy food there... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
Amy was imagining the food that the party would have.
Tails: Me too!
Sonic then enters the room and Aylin heads down inside.
Aylin: hi
Chris: Hey, Sonic! Aylin!
Chris runs over to them
Chris: Guess what? You won't believe it! The President's giving a party and you two are invited!
Sonic: We are?
Aylin: I heard heh that sounds nice
Chris: Mmm-hmm! And all of us get to go, too! It'll be fun!
Sonic: When is this party?
Chris: On Thursday.
Sonic turns his head away, closes his eyes, and holds up his hand dismissively
Sonic: Can't make it.
Chris: Ah! Why can't ya?
Sonic: I promised Helen we'd hang out.
Chris: Helen? You mean the girl in my class?
Aylin remembers seeing a girl in a wheel-chair when spying on Mr. Stewart
Sonic: Yeah, that's the one. She's a friend of mine.
Chris: I didn't know that.
Sonic: I met her over at the lake... I promised. Oh, I got a lot of work to do!
Runs over to Chuck who is still reading the invitation
Sonic: Hey, Chuck, I need some life-jackets and a boat.
Chuck: Check over in the storage room.
He then dashes out of the room, the door shuts after his departure. Chris blinks with surprise and turns to Aylin who was looking at Sonic like that was a nice thing to promise for that poor girl.
Aylin are you going to come?
Aylin: I'll be there later since I want to have "me time"
Chris seems taken aback but nods with a frown
Chris: ok
Aylin: it's alright i'll still go and when I get there I will surprise everyone
Chris's face brightens
Aylin: just don't tell them anything if they ask alright
Chris: I can do that
