Ugh serious editing must be done to this story there were so many typos and forgetfulness between parts with me. But I'm going to write off memory again. I might own the manga for this part... Anyway it's fanfiction no need to be perfect.

I. Am. In. A. Hospital. AGAIN!!! Kimblee was in bad shape so now we're stuck here. I'm also sure that The Polar Bear of Briggs is not happy. The Polar Bear's name is Olivier  Armstrong, the Major's sister. From what I heard she can be scary.

A doctor is supposed to come and help Kimblee today. Or at least that's what I heard when the doctor came. He looked like a bag of nuts. If he randomly killed Kimblee I would be a bit happy but I would never say it aloud because Selim could be watching.

Pride has spoken to me a few times through his shadows since we arrived. It was nice to have someone to talk to. Miles would speak to me some but not much. The only reason he might have was because he had orders to do so.

I got up slowly and wandered around some. Every inch of this place had already been explored by me. Can't I just go to the fort?

"Alright Korosu let's go."

I spun around. Kimblee was standing there as good as new. That old creep doctor must have used a Philosophers Stone.

"Where are we going?" I asked folding my arms.

"To pick someone up and then to Fort Briggs."

Who would come out here in the mountains?

Winry. Winry would be here in the mountains. She was here to fix Ed's automail.

"What are you doing out here with Mr. Kimblee?" She asked me.

"It's complicated. Very complicated."

"You three still don't tell me anything."

"That's because the information could put you in danger. That's why they never tell you anything. Why do you think you always have to repair Ed's automail?"

"Alright Haru no need to lecture Ms. Rockbell. We'll be at Briggs soon so calm down."

I was slipping into old habits again. I want to remain my cheerful self for awhile longer.

When we arrived at Briggs Winry went straight to work on Ed's automail. He was acting strange around her.

"S-so Haru where did you run off to?" Ed was still flustered.

"I went to see Selim. Then I had to help Kimblee."

"Are you going to travel with us anymore? I thought your occupation was permanent follower of the Elric brothers?"

"It is but..., my old boss called me in I can't really refuse."

"Can you at least be a little more cheerful?" Ed more ordered than suggested.

"Yeah," Winry agreed. "I miss that side of you."

Winry finished updating Ed's arm and leg then he and I were pulled aside by Kimblee to a separate room.

"I'm going to explain to you two why we're here at Briggs so you don't go off doing your own thing," Kimblee started explaining. "For you Fullmetal your first job is to locate Scar, just find him and I'll take care of the rest. Second find Doctor Marcoh who is believed to be traveling with Scar."

"Doctor Marcoh is traveling with Scar?" Ed questioned.

"That's what Kimblee believes. When I saw Scar it was just Yoki."

"Who's Yoki?"

"Back to what I was saying your job is to find Doctor Marcoh leave the rest to me. And third you and Korosu are to carve a crest of blood."

"I REFUSE TO-,"

Kimblee pointed towards the door. Through the window you could see Winry who looked concerned about the commotion.

"Poor Winry."

I meant to sound sad but it came out more as sarcasm. So I got up and went into the other room with Winry.

"Is everything okay?" She asked before I shut the door behind me.

"Yeah, Ed just has to get a longer lecture than me. But it looks like we're going on a field trip. You should try to come with us."

If she did then maybe the brothers can think of a way to get her out of this. Where is Al?

"Hey Miles where's Al?"

No answer.

"Alphonse? The other Elric brother."

"He's still our prisoner so don't try to set him free."

"I promise I won't Miles. I just want to see him. It's been awhile."

Miles led me to Al's cell and let me inside.

"Hiya Al. Watcha doin?"

"I'm sitting. Are you okay?"

"No I am not okay. I feel like I'm getting meaner. It sucks."

"Haru I need to talk to Al. Somewhat alone," he added looking back at Kimblee.

I groaned. I just got here. I wanted to talk to Al before we go carve the crest of blood, and find Scar but I'm confident we won't catch him.

******* I swear I started this I just never finished and posted it. I also might start a fanfiction with Haru in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. (The not Brotherhood one.) I hate that one but I like the Wrath in that one. So I decided why not?
