"Can we go? How do you know him?"
This guy didn't have the same presence as the one who made me a homunculus but he looked exactly like him.
"He's the one who walked out on us."
"Hm? Hohenheim? Oh he's the one who Izumi was talking about, and your dad. Um.... Okay...."
I backed away from the two. Ed hated this guy. Who could blame him? I would be pretty mad too if my dad walked out on me and my mom.
"Hello Edward you appear to have grown some. I spoke with Pinako I know that you commuted human transmutation."
"You think you can just show up after all this time? There's nothing left for you here."
I wandered a little furtherer off it was getting a tinny bit heated. On Ed's side anyway.
"I noticed. Tell me why did you burn down my home?"
"We vowed to never turn back we did it as a symbol of our resolve."
"No you didn't. You did it to hide the memory. And you thought you could do it by destroying the evidence."
"You're wrong!"
"You ran away and you know it."
"You don't know a thing! You make me sick, to my stomach."
I didn't go after Ed. He needed his space.
"Are you a friend of Edward's?"
"I guess you could say that. I'm just tagging along really."
He examined me closer and I got nervous.
"That's an interesting tattoo you have."
"Crap I forgot about this stupid thing! Forget about it. Go ask your twin about it."
"My twin?"
"That guy in Central who made me a homunculus! He looks just like you!"
He knew what I talking about he just didn't say anything. His facial expression gave it away so what was the point of hiding it.
"We should head back dinner will be ready soon."
"Don't ignore me old man!"
I know Ed wouldn't ask Hohenheim left, but I wish he would. After all he looked sad. Why didn't Ed see that? Oh well.
Dinner was good. Ed ate though and went straight to bed. I asked Pinako, or granny, I'm not sure what to call her, if I could have some bandages. I felt better having the tattoo covered.
"Wow granny you were taller back then."
"Shouldn't you be going to bed?" she asked with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
We were looking at some old pictures that granny had. She shrunk a lot.
"I'm not a kid. Besides the old guy still hasn't told me why-,"
"I'll tell you later."
"When's later gonna be? You might very well run off tomorrow morning."
"Haru..."
"Sorry granny. Can I try that?" I asked motioning to the bottle she had.
"No you're too young! Go drink some milk. Ed didn't have his."
The old man slid me a glass and I cheered.
"Thank you!"
I took one sip and I thought my throat was on fire. I found that glass a milk and chugged it down.
