The games you played were never fun

--

Billie, once more, tossed and turned in her restless sleep. Thoughts of Aurelia consumed her mind, her body, and her soul. The words Aurelia had spoken that night echoed, driving her to the brink of madness. She felt suffocated by her own bedsheets, staring blankly at the ceiling with a deep self-hatred gnawing at her insides. She knew she was a horrible person; she was painfully aware of her own faults.

Would Aurelia even consider forgiving her if she tried to mend things? Billie buried herself deeper under the covers, yearning desperately for a chance to undo the damage. Change seemed an insurmountable challenge, leaving her utterly adrift. Aurelia was the love of her life, yet Billie had treated her...so badly. Why would Aurelia ever want to be near someone who had hurt her so deeply? And yet, despite everything, Aurelia was still there, by her side the whole night, letting Billie run her hands all over her body.

---

The next morning, Billie woke up in a horrible mood; from her lack of sleep. As she trudged down the empty school hallways, she noticed Aurelia also heading to her first period. Today, Aurelia was dressed in a simple outfit - shorts and a zip-up jacket, a departure from her usual more revealing attire, perhaps not wanting to get dress-coded. Unlike Billie, who scowled with every step, Aurelia wore a soft smile, her eyes bright as they focused on the floor she walked on, a single hand resting on her backpack strap. Seeing Aurelia so happy...made Billie angry. Why was she in such a good mood?

Aurelia let out a soft yelp as she felt her back being shoved against the locker, recognizing the scent immediately. She looked up and met those cold, familiar eyes. She whimpered, letting her head fall back against the locker, furrowing her brows and squeezing her eyes shut, wishing she could disappear into the floor.

Billie's actions ignited a fire in Aurelia. How could she? After their intimate moment the previous night, Billie had woken up still in a foul mood.

"Billie! Are you serious? I'm already a few minutes late to class let me go!"

"I don't care."

Billie spoke dryly as she pressed Aurelia further against the locker by her shoulders, her back digging against the metal. Aurelia squirmed in pain, desperately trying to get away. Billie looked down at Aurelia, observing her contorted face, a twisted look of satisfaction spreading across her own.

"The fuck were you so happy for this morning?"

Aurelia gasped in pain, meeting Billie's eyes with a pleading look, ignoring whatever question had been asked. She brought her hands to Billie's forearms, clutching onto them and gently rubbing them, her acrylic nails softly tracing the skin, hoping to get to Billie in some way.

"Billie...please let me go." Aurelia gazed deeply into Billie's eyes, searching for any hint of emotion. She internally smiled when she noticed Billie's rough expression soften slightly at Aurelia's gentle actions. Billie loosened her grip on Aurelia's shoulders, and Aurelia let out a sigh of relief, starting to step away. However, she had misunderstood Billie's intent; thinking she was being released, Aurelia began to move to class, only to find Billie's hands swiftly moving to grasp her waist and press her against the locker once more.

"You're not going anywhere." Billie growled inches from Aurelia's face, causing her to wince and turn her head away from the hot breath. Though Aurelia's arms were no longer as tightly restrained, she didn't dare make a move. Panic began to set in as Aurelia realized Billie's intention: she wanted Aurelia to be late to class. Aurelia despised being late; she was always eager to please her teachers. Billie had put her in this position before, and it always upset Aurelia deeply. That is exactly why Billie did it.
