Hi,I'm Allie Nicole. I'm here to tell you the wonderful story of how I found myself. How I found my home.
It's a typical Sunday. I'm sitting in the backseat of me mothers Ford explorer, headphones in and Ally Hills music blasting in her ears on her way to a church she never asked to be apart of. But unfortunately something she wasn't ready for happened..
The car went into and immediat stop. Headphones disconnect from her GalaxyS5 and it flies underneath her mother's seat unexpectedly. The music blares. I tried to grab the phone before a single lyric slipped out. I just couldn't get to it.
"They're gay,and today is the day you're finding out because they're happy this way" (the lyrics to the song if you didn't already know)
Dad aka Preacher: What in the name of God is this suppose to mean?
Mom:No,no there's no way you're gay you just had a boyfriend you were in love with.
Me:Um,well,I'm bi..
Mom's face filled with rage and my father with concern
Dad:We're getting you to church rn. We're praying for you. You're not going to hell. No way my daughter is going to be even remotely gay!
My mom nods in agreement.
My heart drops. All I could think is that I wasn't ready for this. I wasn't ready to be unloved by my parents. To not be accepted in my own home when I already have trouble accepting myself. So we went to church. They prayed over me and I cried. Because of all this fear I lied.. I told them they prayed the gay away.
When I want home I watched Videos of Ally and Stevie. Cause just for a few moments, with them. I feel accepted.
But they heard the song play again and I hear my Father shout. He rushed up the stairs and I heard him unbuckling his belt. I've never been more terrified
