Ally and Stevie spotted me from across the bar. I was so unsure of what to do. I wanted to talk to them. About how terrified I was. About how awful I feel. Lord,I wanted to tell them everything. At the same time I wanted nothing to do with them.
They make me feel free. They make me feel like I can do whatever I want to do with my life. That's a dangerous thing for me. After all, doing whatever I want leads to so many bruises. And yes,I do mean physically just as much as emotionally. I couldn't be around them. Especially given my father's clear orders. But I couldn't leave the bar. I couldn't bare to go home. Not now,not yet.
Ally spotted me across the bar. Stevie was in deep laughter with Moonshine to even know Ally got up from her chair.
Ally walks over with her Cresent moon eyes and that smirk that nobody could get enough of. I almost smiled back. But I quickly turned my head the other direction hiding my face from her. Hoping she'd just walk back. That she'd simply leave me the fuck alone. But honestly I wanted her to wrap her arms around me and tell me that everything is going to be okay. That I didn't have to be afraid.
"Hey Allie, looks like I get to see you breaking the law two days in a row. You must have a really good fake I.D.
Anywahs,I'm sorry if we over stepped at brunch. After all,we barely know eachother. It's just,we can already tell you're an amazing person. We truly want to be there for you woman. If it's alright with you,we'd like to get to know you a lot better. Hopefully you can explain to me why the hell you're dressed like you're going to church. Haha."I was terrified to give in. To respond. Because I know that with Ally's free spirit she'd cause me to feel the same if I were to let myself laugh at her goofy tone. That if I opened up to them Stevie's selflessness would give me some of my self back. So for a minute I thought to myself "I can't let myself be free. I can't be me. Me is an awful thing. Me is broken, beaten. But they want to know me. Idek me."
"Hey Alls!" Stevie says to me. "I'm happy to see you twice in one day. Sorry that you ran off earlier. Everything okay?"
Just like I assumed. I gave in. I thought just one more night. Feel free for one more night. Have a few moments of happiness. They just might be your last. Besides,it be nice for someone to know the real you. The real, fun,I don't give a fuck, kinda you.
They invited me to a wonderful night. We drank and played truth or drink. We talked about rights and debated on the pure awesomeness of coldplay. Which stevie is an idiot for not liking just pointing that out. I was me. I was free.
Ally:so,whyyyy are you dressed like that again.
Me: Oh yeah,um. Dad just doesn't like it.
*Stevie rolls her eyes*
Ally: I like dose glasses doe. Gimmie.
Me:I'd like to keep them on though thanks.
Stevie: Yeah lady, stop trying to take her glasses. What, looking into my eyes isn't good enough for you?
She says it with the upmost sass. Just as she always does. We all laugh.
After the bar they drove me to hang out a little longer at their place. Shannon,Cammie,Stephanie, and Moonshine shows up too. It was and after party sorta ig. I didn't question I was just excited for one last night if gay meaning okay.-Few hours later at the party-
I took one of Ally's guitars and began playing her newest song. She was hapoy I took the time to learn how to play it. Everyone had the idea to make it rock. So we all had an intense jam session. We all were head bobbing and to my surprise my glasses fell off.
Everyone kept asking what happened and I just said I was playing baseball in the park and POP. I'm not sure anyone believed it.
But stevie tool me out of the room. She put me up against the wall and looked into my eyes. It was as if she was reading every word ever written on my brain. Her mouth opened as a tear fell down her face. I was nervous. I wasn't sure what was happening. I just stood in silence.
