They both stare at me nervously, but at the same time excited. I was confused at the combination but just let it go.
Stevie opens her mouth, but Ally speaks abruptly before S even had a chance to make a noise.
"We'd like to adopt you?!?" She said with a smirk.
You've got to be kidding me right? I said laughing. What kinda practical joke is this?
They're standing next to one another holding eachothers hand. Ally wearing nothing but an oversized T-shirt and panties making it hard for me to take her seriously. While Ally stood there in a sundress short but flowy (the perfect combination). Looking at me with admiration.
"No,we're serious Alls. We've never met anyone like you. Plus,we both know you aren't happy where you are. You can be happy here. With us." Stevie explained.
"I don't understand? You guys want to be. My moms?" I asked confused.
"Well. Kindaaaa. But not like really you know? Like. You're gonna be sorta our little sister and we just take care of you. Like in the movies where a family's parents die." Ally tries to explain in the best way possible. But even when she isn't trying to,she's goofy.
"Well,I'll explain that better later...ahaha. But I guess that's the gist of it. What do you say?" Stevie asks me with a voice filled with hope and contentment.
Well,yeah.. of course. I'd,I'd love to. But my dad wouldn't let that happen. He doesn't even want me to hang around you guys. Do you think he'd let you adopt me? Hell no, especially sense my mom is more anti gay than him. She's just all holier than thow to be bothered to talk to about it. It's dream That's all this is. Sis,Ally,I appreciate what you're trying to do. But it never happen.
Ally and Stevie come sit down on the couch with me in between. Ally places her hand on my knee while Stevie wrapped her arm around my kneck.
"I said we'd be there for you." Ally exclaimed.
"That's exactly what we're gonna do. Even if it means court." Stevie put in.
But guys, that's a lot more trouble than I'm worth..
"Oh hush woman. You're worth all the trouble in the world." Ally said with sincerity in each word.
Well,if you're sure. I'd love that...
*Burst into a tsunami of tears*"Hey,hey. What's wrong" Ally asks me while pulling me into her warm embrace.
"I just,I've been lost for so long. I've stayed up all night praying to be found,by him. Praying to die. Praying for something. I've been lost for so long. I've been alone for so long. I've been living in a house. Just walls and windows. I've had no home. I've not had a place to shower me with love. To help me,with even the tiniest of things. Until now. Now I have a home.. I've always wanted a home." I try to explain to them the best way I know how.
"You were found though too. Not by God. But by Ally and I. I mean it may have been at a bar, haha. But you're found. We guided you home. You don't have to pray for anything anymore. Cause here, you're finally free" Stevie told me as if she were the God I've been searching for. I think maybe in some weird non obsession way. She was.
