Lost Royalty Pt.4

 Kitty trudged along the roadside almost as if she were dragging herself to ask for help. Upon reaching her destination, she took a deep breath before knocking on the door of the little condo.

The door opened not while longer as Sebastian stood there surprised to see her. "Kitty!" He said positively. "Sebastian..." Kitty grumpily. "What brings you here?" He smiled letting her in. "Puss is gone, I don't know how, but we found the forbidden spell book open which means it had something to do with his disappearance." She said pacing. 

"Oh no! That book is nothing but trouble." He replied. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He asked. "Yeah, I came here for your help, I don't really know anything about that book, but you've used it before, so...." She began. "So?" Sebastian pushed smirking. "So....can you help us.." She said quietly. "What's that? I didn't hear you." Sebastian teased grinning as Kitty wacked his shoulder. 

"You heard me." She scowled as he laughed. "What's in it for me?" He asked coming closer. Kitty let out a long shuddery sigh. "We can be friends." She suggested. "So...you forgive me?" He asked pleased. "If you don't try anything, then....then yes." She said finding terribly difficult to agree.

"That's more like it! How can I help?" He asked glad that she finally forgave him. "You are gonna need to come to the past with the rest of us." She said pointing at him as his face dropped. "WHAT?? OH NONONONO IM NOT DOING THAT." He said backing away. "You wanna be forgiven don't you?" She asked coming closer to him. Groaning, he agreed as they made their way to Team friendships hideout.

Meanwhile, Perrito and Camilita sat on a hill by the hideout admiring the sunset. "Camilita, I know I'm asking for a lot, but if I'd ever get stuck in the past, I'd want to spend it with you." He said taking her paw. Perrito had grown much older since the first time he'd met her. "I know, I'm just afraid of what were getting into." She sighed. "But I'm willing." She added with as much courage as she could muster. "No matter what conditions were in, we will always stick together." They said at the same time.

"Let's do what we can while we wait for Kitty." Perrito smiled as they went inside. "Well, first lets think of what year he would go into the past for." Camilita thought. "I don't think he would try to fix anything he'd done wrong, because it wouldn't affect him now." Perrito pondered. 

"What if he wanted to see someone? Like someone who died?" Camilita suggested. "Camil! That's it! He went to see who his parents were!" He exclaimed. "Oh! because he was an orphan!" She said. "So all we need to know is what year he was born, and then cast that spell!" She said excitedly. "Wait..."Perrito sighed. "But what if we're wrong?" He asked sadly. 

"Maybe we should give the idea to Kitty, as since she is his girlfriend, she'll know him better." Camilita decided as Perrito agreed and they waited.

"Ughhhhh...What is Puss gonna think." Kitty groaned practically dragging Sebastian all the way back to their hideout. "I think he'll accept me with open arms!" He said cheerfully even though that's definitely not what would happen. 

"OH yeahhhh that's how he'll respond." She said sarcastically stalking in her place. "How come you loved me then and now you hate meeeeeee!" He asked laughing. "Because I was desperate and out of my mind." Kitty said between her teeth. "ouch" He said pretending to be hurt. 

"Besides you were in on that whole break up thing the entire time." She said getting angrier as she remembered the incident. Sebastian's face fell as he realized how broken she looked when he held her. Guilt poured over his soul.

"Kitty...I-I am really sorry." He said as she stopped. "I know I cant prove that right now, and I know you think I'm saying this because I just want you, but I know I cant have you. Puss deserves you." He said looking away. Kitty's expression softened. "You're forgiven, and you can prove that by helping me." She said smiling sweetly as he smiled along with her.

As they reached the hideout, Kitty burst in with Sebastian as Perrito's eyes widened. "Sebastian? What are you doing here?!" He asked. "He's here to help." Kitty said seriously as Sebastian looked sheepish. 

"Alright Sebastian-" She began before Perrito cut her off. "We have an idea! Kitty, is there anyone that Puss might wanted to see before they died?" Perrito asked. "Not really....besides..." She said before her eyes widened. "His parents." Perrito finished her sentence. 

"So that's where he went." Kitty said falling to her knees as she picked up the book. "Sebastian! Cast the spell on the year 1530." She said as he picked it up and began. The black colored cat was about to cast the spell when he stopped. 

"You cast it." He told Kitty as he gave her the book. "What?! Why me!?" She said not knowing what to do with it. "Because, you need to face your fears." He said giving her a look of sympathy in which she did not understand. 

"I...I don't understand." She said. "Take my paw." He said knowing what the spell was for. Kitty reluctantly took it as he motioned Perrito and Camilita to do the same. "Let me relive my past." She said as the same glowing light surrounded Kitty as the light blinded her. Closing her eyes, images of her past began to show. 

She saw her mother as she was beaten to death by her dad. Kitty as a kitten around four, she could see, that her point of view was in a closet hiding with her older brother. She clung to him. She wanted her brother to care for her, but he only shoved her off and ran out the door. She remembered this memory, the one where she never saw her brother again. The one where she hid until her father could no longer find her. The one where she saw her mother dead and the ground. 

The one where she ran.

Kitty opened her saw and threw the book on the ground as her face was emotionless after waking up. She had tears running down her face but her expression was cold she growled at Sebastian as she shoved the book in his hands. "You do it." She said angrily trying to wipe the tears off her face as he felt bad for making her relive those memories. 

"Kitty, its for you own good,, you cant just ignore the past."He said sympathetically but he knew she wouldn't agree. "OH YEAH? WHY CANT I?! I JUST DID RIGHT NOW!" she shouted. "What's in the past is in the past, now get on with it." She hissed as the two dogs faces saddened. They knew out of all of them, Kitty had the most traumatic past.

Sebastian sighed as he used his paws to elaborate a magical path of golden light until the whole room shined bright with light teleporting them to the same parties in which Puss landed in. It was then, when all four heard a loud voice in which came from the heavens.
