I stayed rooted in my spot and looked where Blake had gone in stunned silence with my heart breaking just a bit because a part of me had wanted him to kiss me, but a part of me was grateful that he didn't.

"Well, that was interesting," Trevor said after he cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. "It looks like he does care about you a lot, Bay."

"Un huh," I said, not able to speak or move while I kept looking at the way that he had left. My heart pounded hard and fast in my chest, and my cheeks were a different shade of red.

"Bay?" Trevor asked, becoming very amused with the way that I was acting. He cocked his head while he studied me, biting back a small laugh. "Are you ok?"

"Un huh," I said, even though I wasn't sure if I was ok or not because I was still stunned and didn't even know what was going on between me and him.

"I don't think you are," Trevor said, amused. He cleared his throat to hide another chuckle and shifted in his seat while he stared at me. "I think you are stunned in silence and are in shock because of what Blake had done."

"Un huh," I replied, and Trevor bit back a small snort and rolled his eyes while he scowled. I didn't look at him and continued to stare at the door, and a part of me wanted Blake to come back through and give me a kiss.

Trevor sighed and shook his head while he stood. He walked over to me and poked my arm, and I didn't do anything to him like I would if I wasn't stunned. "Jesus, he left you speechless," he said and poked my arm again before he waved his hand in front of my face. "You are dead to the world."

"Un huh," was my response, and he laughed and shook his head.

"I wonder what would happen if he actually kissed you, Bay," he said and patted my head, and I didn't move and whack him like I would have because I did not like him patting my head. "Come on, let's go ahead and see what the kids are doing. You said that you wanted to get started on stuff, right?" He raised an eyebrow in question.

"Un huh," I replied but didn't move from my spot to do what he wanted me to do.

Trevor sighed and shook his head before he cleared his throat to hide a chuckle. "Hey, Kids," he called out, lifting his head just a tad and turning it to the side so that his voice would carry. "Can you come up here for a second, please?"

"Coming!" a few of the kids yelled back and started to run up the steps like a herd of elephants, even though I could care less. They filed into the kitchen and looked between Trevor and I with a small frown on their faces when they saw that I wasn't looking at them and still staring at the door.

"What happened?" Ryan asked, becoming very protective of me, even though he didn't need to be. "What's wrong with Bailey?"

"Blake kissed her cheek," Trevor replied with a small chuckle in his voice, "and now she is just stunned and standing there." He gestured to me, and Ryan looked at me again before he looked at Trevor with a small frown on his face.

"What is she saying?" Michael asked with an "evil" grin on his face. He rubbed his hands together while he looked at Trevor. "Or is she saying anything at all."

"She isn't really saying anything," Trevor said with a shake of his head. "All she is saying is "uh huh" and staring out into the void."

"But she is ok, right?" Ryan asked, and Trevor bit back a small snort and nodded.

"Oh, she is fine. She just needs to wake up and get started with what she needs to do," he said. "But you might be able to get some stuff out of her if you ask her some questions." He flashed Michael a small smirk and a wink.
